Great lunch time service and fun environment. The cheeseburgers and bone in chicken wings are delicious! The chicken sandwich was a bit bread-y, and the nachos were mediocre. The staff is so accommodating and friendly, which really makes for a good experience. I’ll definitely go back. I can’t wait to try the pickle ball courts! Keep up the great work!!

Had a great date night at the Sandbox. The food (fish and chips, and chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy) were fantastic! We also got an order of sweet potato fries and they were the best I’ve ever had. Our server was Hope and she was very attentive and quick with our drinks. We will absolutely be coming back. The dome was nice and a comfortable temperature.

We had decided to give it try on short notice. I was worried it would be packed since it was 5:45 or so on a Friday. We seated immediately. Ordered a specialty drink and shared the prime rib and two sides with the hubs. It was very good. Plenty of meal for the two of us.

Stopped in for lunch during the week and enjoyed it. The food was delicious, delivered fast and the service was good. We enjoyed the shrimp tacos, four of them came out with spicy salsa. The chips were stale though. The burger was so juicy and delicious! But the fries were just okay. Looking forward to the dome opening and having some fun! What a great addition to Derby!!!

Food was not good. Server never checked on us for me to say anything so I told her when she gave us the bill. Clearly I only took 2 bites on my Rueben sandwich, which was chunks of meat not slices as traditional style so the meat was VERY tough. She said I should have called her over…. Really! Thought the job of a server was to wait on tables. My bad. I ate the fries so they didn’t take it off the bill. They were good enough. Atmosphere was good but so was my company.

Mediocre experience. The Sandbox Mule did not taste like a mule and I was surprised that it was not served in a copper mug. Most of the food was room temp or cold, with the exception of the potatoes which were hot. The chicken fried chicken and potatoes both had a good flavor. The salmon was cooked well but the marinade tasted mostly of chili powder. The highlight was the street corn, which was delicious! We liked the atmosphere and it looked like it could be a great place to go with family and friends, if the food were better. We plan to give it another try some time down the road as we really like having this in Derby!

Service was so-so. At one point the neighboring table alerted the waitress we were trying to get her attention. Food was not good. 2 of our party of 6 got the fish and chips. Fries were limp like they had sat while they over fried the fish. Coating was very dark brown, hard with bits of extra hard, over fried batter. The tiny bit of coleslaw that was served with it was tasteless. The most flavorful thing on the plate was the tartar sauce. Atmosphere was ok, view out to the playing area was nice. No lids are served with drinks so was not able to take a drink with me out into the 111 degree Saturday afternoon for my drive back to west Wichita. Not a place I would recommend or ever go back to.

We got seated fast, 9 of us. The Waiter John was great. I had the salmon, was very tasty but a little over cooked. We also had fried shrimp, very good. They had a good selection of cocktails to choose from and were good. The price was not to bad for what we got. We will be going back soon

Great casual dining/sports bar – can’t wait to spend summer nights on the deck! As with any new place there are some menu portions/prices to be adjusted- but most entrees are $12 which is completely reasonable and the seasoning is good! (Not bland and not just salty!). Can’t wait to try more in the future.
