I wish I didnt have to do this but Ive been eating here for a while. Usually good service and decent food.. I really only go for the Banana Pudding thats catered there… Yesterday I found a nail in my cabbage, as I took a spoonful of it… complete and utter disgust immediately after i spit it out… I went back to the store to show them, and to ask for my money back. Now in that moment , I wasn’t trying to make a scene because they had customers actively coming in. I pulled the lady to the side that does the register and explained to her what I found. She immediately laughed in my face and denied it. The cooks from the back came out ina very hostile way and told me no one wears nails there. Now granted , WHOEVER WASHED THE CABBAGE that weekend or week easily couldve lost a disgusting nail, and its the same color as the cabbage!!! No refund was offered not even a partial one, they were sooooo rude to me!! Even AFTER I tried to not a make a scene.

I really enjoyed the food I received from here! I came in around noon on a Friday, it was not busy, and I was able to receive my order relatively quickly. I ordered the goat soup that they only have on Fridays and a side of rice and peas. That goat meat was the most tender goat I have ever had in all my experiences with Caribbean cuisine! I ordered a small and wish I got a large, it was so good! The rice and peas were perfect as well! The only reason I rated a 4 is because for my small soup & small side of rice, my total was about 15 dollars, which is pretty expensive for a minimal order. But other than that, I would recommend and I will go back!

We just ordered takeout tonight, and it really was exceptional! The curry chicken and jerk pork were great, and I loved the Mac and cheese – so much flavor! I think I fell in love with the chicken soup the most, though. It was so delicious, thick and hearty with chicken, vegetables, potato, and dumplings. The broth was concentrated in flavor and peppery, one of the best I’ve ever had!

I ordered 2 large Curry chicken, 3 Beef Patties, and a large order of jerk wings. Everything was pretty good except for the jerk wings, they tasted old and looked old. I called the restaurant after tasting the wings, I said the wings taste old, they aren’t good, the woman says, “we make our jerk wings every Tuesday.” I said today is Saturday and it’s 7 o’clock at night. She offered no refund, no exchange, nothing. We threw those wings out, the wind alone were $12.50. We will not be going back to that restaurant. So they better enjoy the $65.00 I spent, because they will not get another dime of my money.

Just don’t waste your time or money on this place. Customer Service was mediocre and not friendly. I ordered a Oxtail Platter along with my favorite a Curry Goat. It was Abysmal ! Goat had a aftertaste and the Oxtail must have have Leukemia. Seriously ! I tried ordering other items originally but sorry we don’t have that today. Overpriced and Overrated Dumpster of Ja’Fakin’s ! My two Belgian Shepherd’s wouldn’t even touch it after I took the meat of the bone. Macaroni was prepared from a Box probably from Kraft. The Cabbage tasted stringy and over peppered ! Like I said in the beginning ! Whoever owns this dumpster is a Fraud for even pushing this Trash ! Shut It Down ! Then I was told they had the audacity to open a store in Lawrence ! Nobody wants that overpriced rubbish ! SB is a Joke !

We had our take-out from The Scotch Bonnet Kitchen last night. It was our fist experience with this research, and it is difficult to leave a review after sampling one dish only.

This was good, I ordered oxtail and stewed cabbage along with fried plantain. The oxtail and stew cabbage was very good! I ordered fried plantain thinking it was green plantain. I got sweet plantain and I don’t like sweet plantain . You should give a option on Uber eats for sweet or regular plantain!

Great food! If you’re thinking about ordering, do it! I ordered on Grub Hub and left a review there but I had to come on here to spread the word. This restaurant is about 13 min from my home and the food arrived HOT both of the times I ordered. I got the small jerk chicken and the portions were generous. The chicken was flavored so well, nice little kick. The rice was HOT and fresh. The sweet plantains were delicious. I also tried a side of the steamed cabbage which was amazing. I’m happy I found this on GrubHub and will continue order.
