To be brief, the patient, friendly, and knowledgeable staff put a lot of love into my Latte, gluten-free poppy-seed muffin, and pineapple-filled Pink Flamingo acai bowl. cute shop tucked away in this small plaza. the girl was very nice, but definitely needed more help. I came before the crowd did and they were about to close within the next hour, and she was the only one. she did a spectacular job tho and was still very nice. the rose latte was good but there were definitely more flower petals than there was coffee, over time the cinnamon toast crunch cereal got soggy in the coffee, the buffalo chicken empanada was great, and the acai bowl was too sweet, too much juice maybe. everything was good, but could definitely be improved.

I recently had the pleasure of checking out the newest location of The Seed in Lighthouse Point, and it was a delight! This cute coffee shop is located in the Gateway Centre plaza which is just east of the intersection of Sample Road and US1, on the south side of Sample Road. The Seed has a great selection of coffee beverages, teas, seasonal drinks, smoothies, bowls, and baked goods (pastries, empanadas and quiches). They also have some other beverage options and FROPRO nut butter bars in the open-air cooler. I love what they did with the interiors, it has an industrial design with nautical vibes, that surely fits the laid-back lifestyle of South Florida. The Seed serves Counter Culture coffee, and while I was there I tried one of their seasonal drinks, the S’mores latte, it was delish! I also enjoyed trying an apple fritter and one of the empanadas to go along with it, very tasty. This is a great location for a coffee shop and they have a good amount of inside and outside seating. The service at other Seed locations has been fast and friendly in my experience, and this one was no different, I will definitely stop by when I’m in the area again, or if I need to meet up with a friend on this part of town. I wish The Seed the best success, and hope that the LHP locals find their way over to this new coffee shop.
