The Senate Bar & Grill is a great stop for a bite to eat in Pueblo. Our waitress (red hair, didn’t catch her name) was helpful and fast while maintaining a sense of attentiveness to us. The food was also great. I had the Classic Cheeseburger with fries. The burger was good, but the fries were a little saltier than I like. Inside, there is not a lot of room, but there is plenty of outdoor seating. With only a 2 minute walk from the river, and so many incredible food options, this definitely is a good spot in the area for some food and drinks. Keep up the good work, staff!

Very interesting older bar and grill. The inside isn’t anything fancy, but it’s a neat location. The staff was pretty friendly. The green chili Philly was very good as were the fried green beans. The fried spaghetti…. didnt appear to be fried. All in all a good experience.

Amazing hole in the wall restaurant/bar in Pubelo. Very reasonable prices compared to other places. They have the best handmade French fries in Pubelo. The steak is also very good and cheap. Friendly staff and a full bar. The atmosphere is also very appealing. I will definitely be a repeat customer here. Highly recommended if you are looking for lunch or dinner in the area.

I’ve never been to the Senate for food, but I do love coming here for a drink or two. During early afternoon it’s a wonderful relaxing environment, and as the night comes it’s a lovely place to have fun with friends. Their mixed drinks are really good! And their prices are fair! Definitely a great time going, and some nights they have theme nights. Definitely a real fun time.

Food is delicious, bartenders are knowledgeable, good service. Weekend nights is busy, back room opens up for DJ and dance floor, weekdays is chill. They have karaoke night I think Tuesdays. I Recommend this place.

After my third meal at the Senate Bar & Grill, I can highly recommend the food, service and experience. The grilled chicken sandwich, pepper-crusted burger and green chile cream cheese chicken sandwich were all tasty and complete with french fries. On my most recent visit Danika Jones made a Pickle Juice Infused Vodka Bloody Mary and Dirty Martinis worthy of celebration. I like my beverages robust and on the dirty side. The Senate is located in Downtown Pueblo across from City Hall and the famous Pueblo Riverwalk. The Backroom at the Senate is also home to the popular Dig Storytelling Series every Wednesday evening from 5pm. The Senate Bar & Grill is your destination for a bit of Pueblo’s legendary history. Pueblo leaves you speechless and turns you into a storyteller. GH

The Red Chili on the Slopper is really like an au jus rather than true red chili flavor. But meat was good and fries excellent. Location is somewhat hard to find.

3.5 stars. We came here on a weekday evening to chill after work. Servers are really nice. You can get parking along the street if you’re lucky. Food was decent too. I tried the slopper version of the chile burger and my friend tried the Limited edition burger. I also got a traditional margarita, while she got a beer on the tap.

We stopped in for a drink and were pleased with the fast service. They do offer a full menu however we did not order food. This Bar & Grill is located within a short walking distance from the River walk. Very ingenious how they have blocked off part of the road in front for outdoor seating. There was live music which added to the great bar atmosphere. Even if there are no seats available outside you’re still able to enjoy the background live music inside.
