Amazing place and amazing food. Was visiting Ann Arbor and passed this place a few times and finally decided to walk in. This was my first time experiencing Korean bbq. Our server was very helpful how to cook the meat. The bulgogi was fantastic!!!! Also not sure how they make the egg, but it was delicious. Got the cheapest combo and it came with a lot of food plus leftovers. Can’t wait to come back again!

Arrived on a Saturday evening, no reservation and got seated within 10/15 minutes! it was around 7/8pm so every restaurant in the area was full….the menu had lots of options and food came out quick!

The Rock Shrimp is amazing!! It’s my go-to. Understaffed, but the servers are really doing their best. We got our food pretty quickly. I really like their complimentary buckwheat tea as well, it tastes like a rice water tea.

Pretty good food but there’s a catch – they seem to be understaffed or at least just super busy in a small space, so do not expect fast pace service. 3 of us went and all of our orders came at different times within 1 hour. Meanwhile, we watched tables that came after us being served before some at our table. They probably forgot and couldn’t keep up due to the crowd, but I’m giving this place a 3 for the service mainly. Presentation and taste are a 5. Give it a chance but don’t come in a rush.

3.5. Busy, airy, and nice clean Korean spot. The menu is expansive and the food is good. The service was not great, but we did go on a Saturday night. A wonderful thing is that you don’t leave smelling like food despite all the cooking going on in the restaraunt. Unfortunately, one of our four mains came out first before any of the appetizers and it was 15 minutes before any other food hit the table so one person was just sitting with their food. They charge for tea (the tea is really bland)- which they don’t refill unless you ask. The soups were very good and I would highly recommend the bibimbap. 18% Tip is included but oddly they still provide an option for additional tipping.

Really nice food! I ordered Tangsuyuk and Jjamppong. I think they use good pork for Tangsuyuk. Jjamppong has also a lot of seafood.

Been here twice (did BBQ once and recently had the army stew), and the food isn’t terrible but not the best Korean I’ve had in town. Would personally rather go to Tomukun across the street if that place doesn’t have a ton of wait (which often there is).

맛있어요! It’s so delicious! The Seoul is a gem in Ann Arbor. Our family enjoyed savory dumplings, japchae, doenjang jjigae, and an amazing custom chicken dish (만두, 잡채, 된장찌개). Colorful and diverse assortment of banchan (반찬) are offered. We were impressed by their extensive and authentic menu. Our daughter said their mandu tasted homemade. That’s a yummy compliment! We’ll definitely return! 잘 먹겠습니다!

For authentic Korean cuisine, this is the place to be. The prices are particularly reasonable during lunch hours.
