We had the best experience. We came in as family of 3 very tired travelers as we had a really long trip to Savanna from Connecticut that day. The second we came we felt very welcomed, the whole place feels soooo cozy, I loved the atmosphere, I LOVED the food. We happened to meet the owners and their friends who were so warm and sweet to us and our child. One of them even went to show a crocodile feeding to our son. He was very impressed!! I almost never write any reviews but today I specifically came to look for this restaurant and to save it to my favorites because I definitely want to come back once we are in Savannah again, I saw it’s temporary closed and was shocked, then I went to the reviews hoping to find an explanation and saw you suffered a fire 🙁 I hope you will get back to normal as soon as possible. Our prayers are with you! Stay strong ❤️ Hope to visit again very soon!!!

We were passing through Savannah, staying at Spring Hill Suites at I-95, and saw this place from the road.. it was fabulous, very casual and the service was amazing… my husband and I shared The Big Daddy Trio which was three big pieces of catfish, a mound of shrimp, and fried oysters, we had hush puppies, fries and coleslaw.. not the healthiest meal but very delicious…give it a try!!

Wow! This place is amazing! I was in Bloomingdale, GA for a track day at Roebling Road and everyone was talking about the ShellHouse. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot my senses were immediately overwhelmed by the phenomenal smells of what they were cooking. The place was absolutely packed, a good sign you’ve made the right restaurant choice in my opinion, but it didn’t take long for our party of 12 to be seated. ShellHouse has a fantastic staff. Everyone greates us with smiles and a small town feel of friendliness. They were very prompt with bringing our food to the table after we ordered, and here comes the wow…. The portions are massive!!! I’m a big guy and can put away my fair share of food, but they beat me. I had leftovers to take with me and make a second meal out of. I will admit, I did overeat. I just couldn’t say no to their peach cooler with a backhoe size scoop of vanilla ice cream. I wish there was a 20 star option, because ShellHouse earned it in my book! Thank you to all of the ShellHouse staff for their hardworking and dedication to their guests.

Very good! I had ordered fried shrimp with crab legs. All the reviews are true. Huge portions and expensive. My combination order cost was 60.40 I would definitely order it again.the shrimp had a slight zest to it definitely loved. They could reduce their portion size because whew I was stuffed. But great company! I highly recommend

Very southern cuisine (fried food) wanted to try different and I was pleasantly surprised. It was done pretty good. Service was not horrible or great!! But decent. But the tables were not clean clean still had grease on it. I know cannot expect fine dining experience at this joint, that is the reason 4 stars.

Although the wait for the table took a bit long, it was worth the wait. I had the Cast Net, my family had the Big Daddy, we also tried the Gator for appetizer, our first time and it was pretty good! Everything was perfect and delicious! We will be back for sure!

We stopped here on a whim during our road trip. Best decision ever!!!! The portions are HUGE! We ordered the cast net and it was enough to share and have some to go! The flavor of the alligator tail and hush puppies were so good. Service was so fast. We never asked for refills and they came! The food only took about 5-10 minutes and was hot and fresh tasting. The restaurant has cool fishing theme decorations and is family friendly. There’s outdoor group seating and lots of space between tables. We will be back!

Let me start off by saying the Matron de was a warm welcome . Quick service ,waitress on the spot, seated quickly. Waitess was very nice ,food was fresh. Amount for Big Daddy combo was enough for two ,plenty. Service was excellent, now it’s $$$ date but very good
