Platteville isn’t really a very busy place and their aren’t a whole lot of dining options, I had previously never really considered the Silver Spur as I thought it was just a bar, was I wrong. I have eaten their 4 times recently and the food choices are great, not what I was expecting and the servers are polite and handle the floor well. Considering the Spur has great things in a small package. Kraut Burgers,Calzones, Pizza, Salads and more..The kraut Burgers (chapped cabbage with ground beef and your choice of several fillings in a sweet dough pocket are unique and delicious but the pizza OMG they have the best Chicken Pesto pizza with mushroom d ricotta cheese I have ever had. If they can get something like that right, you know the rest is great too. I did have a French tip sandwich once and the meat was a little dry but those aren’t on the dinner menu. The Pizza, a large. would easily feed 4 people for around 20$ and their well drinks are strong and well priced. We filled up 2 people, got a buzz and have lunch for tomorrow for 40$. The atmosphere and setting is just an old local small town bar with a few tables but it’s worth the visit. Repeat visits for me

I had a fantastic experience at this place! The service was fast, attentive, and friendly. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. Everything I tried was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend trying the dishes here, you won’t be disappointed! I definitely recommend this spot! The food at this place is amazing!

The Silver Spurs one of my favorite places in Platteville to go and eat as someone who lives in town it’s really hard to find good places to go out these days the Silver Spur has some of the best food I’ve ever eaten specifically their pizza and deep fried Burger all at a fair price sometimes it’s a little busy so sometimes it gets a little slow but that’s all right it’s well worth the wait.
