Service great, beer cold. Food lacking. Burger wayyy overcooked. Tomato slice hard as a carrot and no taste. Salad bar was old and needed fresh stuff. Karaoke started and the guy should have not tried… and way too loud for an empty room! Better prices and taste at Trojan Lanes down the road!

This was my 2nd time at Silver Spur. I really liked it my 1st time, we shared a burger. We tried Friday night, the parking lot was busy. Surprisingly there were tables available. We tried an order of the fish and chips and got the Cowgirl prime rib. The salad bar had good choices. The fish was really good and included 3 shrimp which were also good! We later realized we didn’t get coleslaw as mentioned on the menu (no big deal). Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the prime rib. The waitress was new, maybe she didn’t put in my order accurately. The meat was over cooked. I guess I should have been more specific with medium rare, and said I need it pink, but not bloody. This was cooked through gray and no pink whatsoever. Not sure if I would try the steak here again. I really wanted to like it.

Tammy the waitress ignored us for 20 minutes after we got there – we finally moved to the bar to get her attention, and she acknowledged us a couple minutes later. She brought us water and took our orders and then proceeded to ignore us again. My food came out after a reasonable half hour – my husband’s food didn’t show until half an hiur later when we finally managed to flag down the young man working (didn’t catch his name, but he was great!) and ask about it. When it came out (right away,) my husband’s food was completely cold. It had clearly been sitting there ready for quite some time.

Nice little restaurant. Great food and attentive wait staff. I had the grilled chicken on ciabatta with green chilies and Pepper Jack. It was very flavorful and well cooked. They were also very accommodating with my husband’s dish and made some changes free of charge in order to meet his dietary needs. I gave 4 stars because the coffee was terrible and our orders were taken after several others who had come in behind us. Otherwise a great place to have a nice meal.
