First time here and was definitely pleased with the apple cobbler waffle! After seeing it on their menu I absolutely had to try it and was not disappointed! I was surprised to see there was more to the building than what you see from the road. They had an adorable patio set up in the back. My friend and I have been trying a new breakfast place every time we get together all over newington and wethersfield and this is the first place we found that we cannot wait to go back to! Can’t wait to try something else next time!

In town visiting for Thanksgiving. I like to try local food and saw across from the hotel. The menu appeared to have a fun variety to try. I love waffles with apples. My choices were apples and copper. I was expecting a little one and didn’t have high expectations. The presentation was pretty. Disappointed the cinnamon apples were cold; I didn’t care for the taste of the waffle. The chicken sausage was good. The fresh potato chips would add have been perfect. They were not too greasy. The oil needs to be changed, in my opinion. The did it came with was good.

The service here was not the best, we had barely any attention, no silver wear no napkins, i was offered ketchup and never recived it. The food is fine cant complain but the food was served to us on paper plates and the food was not cheap for 2 adult meals 2 kids meals and 3 jucies it was 80 dollars. Our food also took 45 minutes before we got the first plate and about an hour since we recived all the food.

Food was good. Place was clean. A little overwhelming if you’ve never been there… not typical. Seated and given The menu. Then you go to the register to order. Food is served on paper plates and you get to-go plasticware which made the waffles a little tough to cut. Very cozy and good food, just different than I was expecting, but not in a bad way. Manager also made sure to greet us as it was our first time there.

You’re going to walk in and be asked to stand in line to be seated, but you’re in line with people who are picking up and ordering take out orders. You will be seated and told that “how it works is when you’re ready to order you’ll go back into that same line to place your order and tell them what section you’re sitting in”. We stood in that line for 20 minutes before placing our order and having to pay upfront. There is a fee for not paying with cash. We were charged an additional $2.13. For drinks we ordered orange juice which was already prepared in cups to go for $3.75/ea. Next we walked over to the drink counter where we prepared our own coffee and water. When the food arrived we were served on paper plates. My daughter spit out the pancake which prompted me to try it and it was worst than microwaveable pancakes. The strawberry and crème waffle was disgusting. When I asked to speak to a manager I waited 15 minutes and she never came to the table. As I was walking up to the counter to request to speak with the manager again, other customers walking out had the same complaints. I explained to the manager my concerns and she asked if I wanted something else, but I was not interested in ordering anything else. She said she offers a gift card, but I wouldn’t be going back there. If you’re looking to be served, this is not the place to be.

Great place for breakfast. I loved the fresh baked and toasted bread with honey . The bacon and eggs were very good. The home fries were ok. The atmosphere was fun. Our waitress Julie was awesome. Would definitely eat here again.

The waffles were delicious, and thankfully any waffle can be made gluten free. I hope one day they can do some cleaning/renovations. I’d love to bring family/friends in but I know a few who would be turned off by the dirty floors and ambiance overall. Doesn’t take away from the fact that this is a tasty breakfast spot, but the overall experience could improve with a little cleaning and refreshing.

Didn’t like the fact you have to walk to cashier to order the food. They do bring the food to your table once you walk to the front to order and pay. This place charges extra if you use a credit or debit card. Not real plates they use paper plates. The staff was friendly the food was hot wasn’t crazy about the quality of food.
