We ate it all, had a combo for $30. Adult drink of the week was whiskey, ask for a classic. 2 drinks each $40. Which is not bad for Boston. Our 3 meat choice’s were burnt pig something. It was not burnt or hard. We had brisket, and ribs. But only give you three ribs. It should be four since you usually share combo’s.

Great barbecue and an amazing collection of Bourbon. Fun cocktails and a friendly staff. Plenty of TVs available to watch a game. I did the two meats and two sides option. The Brisket is legit and the barbecued wings were fantastic. I like a nice glass of wine with barbecue, and they are weak on wines. Time for another Bourbon or a beer! Overall a very good restaurant.

The food here is really good – the service is nonexistent. Had to get my own menus. Had to get up to pour my own water because my server forgot after she told me she’d be right back. Had to beg for the check so I could get out of there. Maybe a different location of Smoke Shop has better service.

We took a tour of Harvard and was looking for some lunch when we finished . We just happened to walk by this place, and decided to try it out. We have been in Boston for 5 days trying some of their food that Boston is known fow. This was our favorite restaurant on the whole trip. I had a brisket sandwich… Amazing! My wife had the pulled pork sandwich… She loved it. And my son had the beef rib that had a pound of meat on it. Super amazing! Everything had a great flavor and was very tender. The beans and cornbread are great side items. And they had fountain drinks which tastes so much better than pouring a canned soda into a glass. The Staff was very friendly. Don’t hesitate to try this place out.

Fantastic experience! We went in for a few drinks and we were treated to samples of wings and an additional whiskey. Matt went above and beyond all expectations. Great conversation. Great food and drinks! Definitely worth checking out.

I really loved this place for a while but the food isn’t what it used to be. The Hot as Cluck chicken sliders aren’t hot anymore and I tried the meatballs today and they were just ok. They didn’t have the bourbon I ordered off the list and my drink was consistent from the first to the second. Still the people who work there are always veg nice. I just wish they could get the food back to where it used to be.

I’ve had food from The Smoke Shop before at events, but I only went in person for the first time recently. I went with a big group (~12 people) on a Wednesday evening, and they initially told us we had to get the family style set menu (choose two to three meats and two to three sides that everyone has to eat). Because we had a lot of vegetarians we asked instead to order a la carte, even though we would potentially be seated at different tables/be staffed by different waiters. In the end, the restaurant was pretty empty and they were able to seat us all together and serve us all together, which was great!

I wanted to like it so bad. The place smells delicious. Our waiter Vladimir was great in explaining the menu and choices My brisket was a bit dry, to the point that I gave it up to my daughter for her to eat. I would have given more stars, but the unannounced, non advertised, and required 3% KITCHEN SERVICE FEE is HORRIBLE and these decisions by upper management to hurt the waiters and waitresses by taking from their tips to give it to others, just because they don’t want to pay more. I would not have eaten here if I had known upper management treats their employees and customers this way. If they are already taking an additional 3% why would you expect customers to give 20%+ to the servers? (Just go to mission bbq, the food is much better!)

My family and I were walking through Harvard Square looking for a quick bite when we passed The Smoke Shop. The scent of BBQ was too tantalizing to pass up so we decided to sit down and just have an early dinner. We entered around 4 and were seated immediately. The menu had the typical BBQ classics so we went for the fried chicken and pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries, Texas toast and corn bread. Portion sizes were large enough to share, so we ended up taking left-overs home. All the meat was cooked well, very moist and came out fresh and hot. The fried chicken, and fries were cooked to crisp perfection. Corn bread tasted fabulous and had the right amount of sweetness. But, our favorite part of the meal was trying out all the different sauces. The fermented honey hot sauce that comes on the side with the fried chicken was a divine pairing. I recommend trying the sauces on everything and trying different combinations to fit your pallet, we definitely found some interesting combinations that totally changed the flavor of our dishes. The touch of watermelon is a nice refreshing side to cleanse your pallet at the end of your meal. We are definitely going to come back to try more dishes.

Good casual dining for any BBQ and meat eater. Great selection of whisky (which we did not try). I love that the portions are not huge. Not for family dining or your average romantic date.
