If there is Heaven on Earth … it has to be The Smoked Asian in Poulsbo, WA. I am not even exaggerating. Imagine Filipino / Asian cuisine infused with good ole Kansas City Secret BBQ processes, done on an Authentic Seattle Seahawks smokers (I am not kidding.) This is definitely the BEST find in WA. The biggest reason for people to get a Ferry to Poulsbo is The Smoked Asian. You WILL thank me later. It was worth the wait, and worth every dollar.

I ordered the brisket fried rice and smoked chicken bowl. Both were great. I really love that the chicken bowl wasn’t terriyaki sweet like most places make it. This was savory with only the veggies adding natural sweetness. The fried rice had a great smoky bite. Both tasted even better the next day. I’ll be glad to drive 1.5 hours on my next trip to visit this place again. No one else I know of offers this kind of food.

I’m not usually a fan of food trucks, but Smoked Asian is to die for. I try to stop here every time I’m in Poulsbo. They serve up a perfect combination of American BBQ and Filipino comfort foods. You can’t go wrong with ordering the namesake Smoked Asian sandwich with brisket. It’s big, messy, and perfect.

Even in a temporary location they still excel. Tried them at Vikings Fest while they were setup inside a brewery’s garage and they still killed it again. One of the best and hottest BBQ joints. Nobody does BBQ like these guys and gals in Washington. If you want nice thin sliced and flavorful brisket they’re the masters. Traditional or Asian fused BBQ this is the place to go. KC native!

One of my favorite places to eat in Kitsap. The food here is unreal. If I’m lucky enough to catch them when they are open, while I am working in Poulsbo, it’s a must have. Sometimes I’ll even make a special Poulsbo trip from Port Orchard.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to mix real American BBQ and amazing Asian food? I didn’t but am I glad I found this place. I had the Yaki soba with brisket and there brisket lumpia, the flavors mesh so well together I wonder why I have never seen this before. If you love BBQ you need to try mike’s cooking, he will have you hooked for life.

This is a must-try. We ordered a brisket bbq sandwich and something that had noodles and pork belly and veggies, and lumpia. All was made fresh and I wish I had the forethought to take pictures, because they were as beautiful as they were delicious!
