We visited the restaurant for the first time for our 22nd anniversary and I can’t believe a restaurant this good exists in Carroll County! This is definitely a special occasion restaurant because it’s a prix fixe menu ($92pp on the weekend). The food was fantastic! It’s more like a 6 1/2 course meal and if you’re a free one drinker, opt for the wine pairing. I chose the smaller 3 course pairing because they are full pours.

My husband brought me to the Antrim 1844 aka The smokehouse restaurant for my birthday. I was so impressed! Between the beautiful rose gardens and fountains to the bar that had material covered walls of Irish plaid wool I recommend the lavender infused gin fashioned cocktail….then to our surprise they wrote our last name on the menu which was placed at our table . They greeted us like we were elites no lie and the food matched the service which was superb!!!! Our waiter was kind, attentive and very knowledgeable about all the food that the chef prepared. He even brought us down to the wine cellar and gave us a quick history lesson about the mansion. This place is special and recommend it. The price person is honestly around $185 person that was with total of six drinks, three appetizers, two entrees & two desserts however you do not need to get all that but we did splurge and enjoy my bday.

What an absolute beautiful and genuinely perfect experience. From the moment we entered into that beautiful foyer, to the elegant bar area, then on into our dining space….the atmosphere was a step above. Our dinner courses arrived timely and were as delicious as stunning. Staff was attentive and top tier. We will surely be back; again and again!

I heard great things about the Antrim Smokehouse so figured it was the perfect place for our 10th Anniversary dinner. I was sadly very wrong, it was not even close to what it was hyped up to be, the coursed dishes were mediocre at best, again, I was totally in shock at what came out for us.

We enjoyed the Smokehouse for our Anniversary. The menu is six courses. We were able to select items for 4 of the courses and the chef had two courses that he prepared. Everything was wonderful! We chose the 5 wine pairing option which may be a little much for some people but they offered a 3 wine option.

Food was delicious but our experience was spoiled by our waiter unfortunately. This young man, Jason, was clearly intoxicated. For example, I witnessed him dropping and breaking glasses more than once. My assumption was confirmed when he got close enough for us to smell alcohol on him.

I recently attended a catered wedding reception at this venue. The wedding ceremony was held outside in the garden which was beautiful and was enjoyed in perfect weather. We enjoyed cocktails on the veranda. We had the reception in the separate banquet area; it was beautifully decorated. The smokehouse catering was very good although they gave me the wrong order the first time. they quickly corrected it and brought me out a small steak. The steak was very good but not the best I’ve ever had and the mashed potatoes were cold. overall, it was a venue worthy of consideration for any wedding.
