TL;DR: Really excellent food (albeit a touch pricey), Very well curated bar, clean & comfortable atmosphere. Good service especially for a new restaurant. Order the fried okra, you will not regret it.

Incredible service and incredible food and beer. The BBQ doesn’t need their delicious sauces but they were awesome as well. I loved that they serve local beers on draft and have good deals on Saturday ($2 off OK beers). We had a little bit of everything. The Hot Links are super spicy and the Jalapeno Cornbread was super good. Ask for the Chocolate Cherry cupcake for desert it is excellent.

FINALLY got to try this place and I got say….it was SO good. It’s always hit or miss with bbq for us, and this was an 11/10 hit. It’s the closest we’ve had to The Butcher’s BBQ Stand! Our server, Jeanine, was super nice and helpful. The manager made sure to stop by our table and was very friendly. Loved the vibe of the inside and the back wall with all the cuts of meat. The chilled water was also a nice touch! The pork belly sliders are phenomenal; they make a homemade kimchi that paired perfectly with it. The ribs had amazing flavour and tenderness. I really loved the flavour and juiciness of the hot links BUT they weren’t really hot at all’s definitely bump up that heat level! The pulled pork was slightly bland compared to the other food we had. The potato salad was really refreshing, the brisket mac n cheese was my fav, I didn’t try the okra but my husband seemed to like it, and the baked beans were just okay. They make all their sauces and pickled sides in house. I think my only criticism is the price. It’s quite pricy compared to other places. $5 for one side! The meat prices are slightly above average in my opinion. If prices were a little more reasonable, it would definitely be five stars. We didn’t have big enough stomachs to try everything on the menu, but that just means we’ll have to come back!

The Smoking Boar is poised to become Oklahoma City’s favorite new BBQ restaurant. The attention to detail and the forethought and planning that went into designing the place are obvious. The dining room is laid out around a central well-appointed bar, all beneath a blanket of Edison type light bulbs overhead. I had lunch there but needed to do some work on my laptop to meet a deadline. One of the owners, Alex, greeted me at the hostess stand and offered that I could sit at the bar where they had power outlets under each stool. I met my deadline and had a great lunch to boot.

The food was amazing. This is not your normal BBQ restaurant. I would call it urban BBQ. We started with the best deviled eggs we have ever had and pork rinds. The sliced brisket and brats were very good as well. I would recommend this to anybody who loves BBQ.

The ribs had great flavor but I thought they needed to be cooked a little longer. The brisket was tender and good but the pulled pork was my favorite. The sides we tried was the mac&cheese, baked beans and fried okra. The fried okra was the bomb it was fried whole and the seasoning was very good.

We loved it, great ribs, but they ran out of sliced brisket on our visit but I understand that when it’s getting close to the end of the night. Great service Jeanine gave us great service. I noticed another server helping an elderly lady to get up to her Walker, and then dashed out to give someone their sunglasses awesome customer service. We will be back.

Nice fun laid back place!! My husband and I sat at the bar to dine for an early dinner. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable bartender and friendly management. Pork rinds are a must have!! The fried okra comes with a nice dipping sauce that you’ll wanna dip everything in!! A great selection of local brews. Great Parking! Looking forward to going back to try different meals! Awesome background music

Just got done trying The Smoking Boar. It was excellent. They have a twist to traditional BBQ sides, but our waitress explained what to expect. We also have a person with a severe food allergy. We told them about it, next thing we know, our waitress has filled out an allergy order form (so the kitchen knew), and she double checked what was ordered, just to be 100% positive that everyone was safe. She interacted with everyone at the table (including children, she wasn’t bothered that they asked questions). Also found out that the restaurant furnishings are repurposed. Somethings are 100+ years old. A nice little gem, that I will visit again.

Great smokey flavor turkey, albeit a little dry. Ribs were nicely cooked with dry rub and tender to eat, but not falling off bone where it’s hard to eat! Sides are a little different than typical fare, but generally good. A little pricey for BBQ, but I think the portions are larger than the menu states. Maybe not the best BBQ in town, but pretty good and included good service.
