The Spinning Gyros was absolutely wonderful. The food was excellent! We wanted to continue to try more, but our stomachs couldn’t handle it…lol. everything was fabulous. The Gyros meat was full of flavor. Enes was the person who helped us. He was very attentive to everyone’s needs and went out of his way to make sure everyone was satisfied. The place is small and quaint with authentic Turkish food passed down from generation to generation. There is just enough room to be comfortable in downtown Albany. I definitely recommend The Spinning Gyros.

FIRST THING FIRST, vegan options are available! Second, the meat is halal. The food is tasty and the turkish bread always taste warm and freshly baked. A few tasty options on their menu are: spinach burek, lentil soup, seitan platter and falafel platter. The platters will definitely satisfy you for the day.

It was solid. Quick to make our food, orders were accurate. The meat for our gyro’s was some of the best in the area, but I think the sauce was lack luster. The baklava was ok, 3/5. Also better in the area. The veggies were all high quality and excellent.

The food was amazing, delivered early, (which was the original time I asked for) so I was happy!! Unfortunately for those of us placing catering orders for corporations, you DO NOT receive an itemized receipt so expense reporting will be flagged with the provided receipt from this business. That’s why the 3 stars…I would definitely recommend this restaurant, but not for business meals. *Update* I was able to get an itemized receipt after a while!

The food at this place is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can choose among many different menu options, ( they have the vegan gyro as well). I got a mix plate which is the combination of beef, chicken and their vegan meat, and everything was sooo well marinated!

The Spinning Gyros is an authentic Turkish restaurant folks! Enes is absolutely wonderful! He is all about providing excellent customer service. We had the Beef/Lamb Gyros and it made me feel like I was growing up in Europe all over again… It took me back y’all!!! All the food, the desserts, the sauces, the way the meat is cooked all the way to the Turkish Coffee brought back memories of my childhood traveling around Europe in the 80s visiting different real restaurants owned by real chefs. Enes let us know that the “chocolate cake” dessert is a family recipe made by his family at their location.
