Stopped in for a quick bite at this IP Casino and Spa restaurant/bar before our convention registration opened. It was a fun, casual lunch with a few people sitting around the bar watching the NFL combine and talking team smack. That’s what you do when Georgia, LSU and Bama fans all end up at the same bar. However, it was all in good fun. While the Bar Bites menu was limited, a lot of the people there were return customers and loved the food. Most of us there ordered the IP Burger which was tasty and seasoned well. It came with fries which were crisp and flavorful. Other sides were available but I would NOT insult a burger by siding it with a side salad. Lol. Other menu items included steak or chicken nachos, a grilled chicken salad, and wings. The bartender was friendly and took care of us all while talking sports and keeping the conversation going among us all. Blood Marys were a popular choice for the lunch crowd who had been here several times. Since it was an early lunch and I have a long day ahead, I went with the sweet tea but I’ll report on the adult beverages later.

We have always came in to eat at the sports bar while at IP casino. We have previously came early and late. I am not one to give a bad review and never have before but last night service changed that. The service last night was AWFUL. walk up to get seated waited maybe 5 minutes max. Not a problem. There was 7 tables with people seated and eating already. 1 table had 4 people the rest had 2 people per table. Hostess seated us, provided menus. We then waited 30 minutes for a our waitress to ask what we wanted to drink

Seating service was slow & unprofessional. We didn’t receive any silverware or asked if we wanted any with our meal. I ordered the smoked pork sandwich & the BBQ sauce tasted old. My husband had the burger & ordered it medium. It came on the rarer side. I ordered the game day punch & it was overly sweet. He ordered a sprit & the soda levels were off. The table felt like it was cleaned with a dirty rag. Our waitress was trying to do the best she could. The food & drinks came fast.

Another tradition of ours when we visit Biloxi, even if we aren’t staying at the IP, is to visit the Highlights Sports Bar. They have the best hot wings in the world. Not sure what makes them so special but they are very good. We love the atmosphere and the bartenders.. especially Joel and our absolute favorite is Bo. He’s so much fun and he makes a mean Martini.

Was looking for wings and the front desk at the IP recommended the grill at the Sportbar in the hotel. It was nice the restaurant is set behind the bar , in a separate room. It still had all the big TV screens to watch whatever interested you. The nice thing it wasn’t overly loud so you could hear the other person you were with. The food was decent, the wings and the fried pickles were excellent. The first night we ate there and another night we ordered to go. It’s a different menu to go. Make your order, they’ll text you when it’s ready, about 30 minutes. Wish you could order off the regular menu for takeout, I would of liked the cheeseburger sliders instead I had the IP cheeseburger which was very big and tasty.

The young lady that took our order was not happy to be at work today. Customer service -0. If it wasn’t for the $40 food credit I wouldn’t go. I came from Florida to get my cruise from another casino. This place needs an attitude adjustment with the employees.
