Could I do 4.5 stars? Food is really great, staff friendly, and the environment is clean and welcoming. I wasn’t getting my hopes up in small town USA, but this place impressed me enough to eat at if it was in my home town.

We are passing through Downs on a cross country trip. Our B&B host said this place was a new business from what it was before in the same location and in her opinion was much better now. And we couldn’t have felt more fortunate with our dinner last night. My husband had the hamburger steak and mashed potatoes and said it was the best meal he has had so far on this entire trip. My meal was very good also. The waitress, I wish I had learned her name, was very pleasant and kind, providing perfect service in a genuine way. The restaurant is very clean with a nice atmosphere and the whole experience was a very pleasant surprise. We wish all the best for them. Well worth a drive from neighboring towns for an enjoyable dinner out.

Stopped on our way from Colorado Springs to Randall, and it was a really good decision. The service was excellent, the prices are really reasonable, and the food was really good. The owners were really nice to my little girl also. It seems to have an inviting atmosphere and the whole place was really clean, including the bathroom. We will definitely be stopping again should we pass through at a later date.

I have ordered a few times now from this restaurant. The first 2 orders were not made correctly, (and a salad shouldn’t go in the same to go box as hot food) it took about 15 minutes longer then stated for pick up, and I wasn’t happy. The last 2 times I’ve ordered, the food was great, the staff was friendly and I can definitely tell the owners are really trying to make The Spot a warm and enjoyable place. Even with all the mistakes they had to go through to get the old dirty nasty restaurant up and going again, I wish them luck and will continue to watch and see how their hard work and passions pay off. I ate here a few days after they opened, the staff did a really good job taking care of me and my friends. I had the BLT it was so good I wish I could have had another one, the fries that came with it were good too. My friends ordered the chicken strips and the Chicken bacon ranch sandwich and I took a bite of both, I think they were better than DQ.

We just ate at this restaurant and it was a disaster. I never leave negative reviews ever but this was truly a disappointment. Not only did the food take over an hour to get to our table but all of our orders were wrong. The staff seemed extremely confused and the cook was yelling and being extremely rude. Luckily my child didn’t have a complete meltdown but waiting that long for less than quality food and a dirty highchair was definitely not what we had in mind. Never did get the correct order either with very little apology from the staff. We will not be back.
