Still Charlottesville’s undisputed heavyweight champion of late night eats, after all these years! Gus Burger is legendary, and if you’re hungry grab a Double Gus or a Motor Burger. No meal here is complete without a Grillswith: two glazed donuts fried on the grill and topped with vanilla ice cream. This place ain’t fancy, but the food here just hits “the spot.” Really enjoyed bringing my two boys here for their first visit to one of my favorite places growing up in Cville.

The Gus burgers were great, service was fast at the counter and we chatted with the cook who was super friendly and helpful. We were visiting the campus and looking for local atmosphere. The Spot absolutely nailed it

Delicious hot, sizzling, fresh burgers and breakfast. We ordered sausage and gravy with eggs. Also got a gus burger no bun (gluten free gf) that was perfect. At 830 am on a school day – Monday – place was empty and got super fast service. Friendly as always.

Amazing food and service. The hot sauce was amazing ( he makes himself). The toppings were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Good food. Pretty fast. The cook and customer screaming at each other over how long to cook an item, made me feel right at home!

Eh, the food was alright. Its a greasy spoon diner, nothing too fancy if that’s what you like. If what you want is cheap food and decent quality, this could a good spot (see what I did there?) for your. I tried out their grilled cheese and turkey sandwich.

Just a great college diner. Great history and ambience. Had the sausage gravy and toast and a simple ham and cheese omelet. It’s a must when you’re in Charlottesville.

A Charlotteville classic. You haven’t lived until you’ve had a late-night Gus burger and fries. They also have to go orders if you’re ready to pass out. Even sober, this food is amazing – prepared fresh for you. Highly recommend
