Everything was good. The food is excellent, tasty , exquisite like for a good French resto in Paris . But cheaper 😉 We spent $85 for food for the family of 2 adults and 2 teens . We ordered 2 main course dishes, one big appetizer to share and 2 came for free ( warm fresh rolls with antipasti of oils and olives ). We had beer ($5…,what?) And 2-3 hot pots of tea. The restaurants only charged us $2 for all the cups of tea we kept asking for. It was a generous present for us after the long day. Thank you all, the team of The Standard! You really keep your standards high 😉

My wife and I visited this little gem for our 21st anniversary and were pleasantly surprised! I ordered the bouillabase and she ordered the lollipop lamb chops. Both amazing! I have been wanting to try a bouillabase for over a decade. The broth was pure magic. Great service and ambiance as well.

Portion sizes are massive! Food was pretty good. I had chicken tagine which a little spicy but I’m sensitive to heat. We were told they don’t do substitutes which is odd for a place at this price point. Inside is nice. There’s a dress code sign posted out front. Shorts were allowed but nothing too revealing. We didn’t see a parking lot but there were spots available on the side street on a Saturday night.

The atmosphere was great! From the door to my seat, everyone was very hospitable. I almost gave the review 4 stars because of my 1st waiter. He was polite, but not very knowledgeable about the wine selection. But the owner took over and things became 5 star stellar! My eggplant rollatini was bursting with flavor. My salmon and carrots melted in my mouth. I’ll definitely be going back again.

I went here for dinner Friday. I was more than disappointed to find that the menu they have posted online is not the menu they are using currently because of the construction. That’s fine to minimize the menu but I picked this place specifically for oysters and French onion soup which were both not available on the limited menu. Inside was very stuffy and hot and the patio is tiny and squished together. Service was horrible. I ordered a glass of Prosecco for $14 and after not receiving it for 30-40 min I canceled it. I ordered a different drink. If your drink takes 40 min I would expect it to be comped or taken care of but there was no mention of the wine I ordered and never received because he forgot. This isn’t a cheap place and I was so disappointed. We even had to pack our own food in Togo containers. We each got $65 entrees. I would have expected a much better experience from a restaurant charging these kinda of prices. Terrible experience and so sad I wasted a rare Friday night off to spend $200 at this “fine dining” restaurant. Don’t go here while the street is under construction!

Not much to be admired on the outside but once you enter its a different story. Very elegant fine dining. Friendly staff, and delicious food. Not a long wait time either. Their Mediterranean seafood pasta was delicious and a large portion and we enjoyed the pan seared salmon as well. They don’t have a kids menu but both my kids enjoyed the Shrimp au gratin and spaghetti bolognese. Will definitely visit again.

I really wanted to like this restaurant since it has a cool vibe, and in a off the beaten path neighborhood, but it had a slew of problems. First, they are grossly understaffed which was tough on our server. The food presentation was not the best, (the grilled octopus was literally a giant tentacle on a place – very strange, and the taste was rubbery at best). We had the Bolognese which was tasty, but in a bowl for a family of four. It was served in a deep bowl that made it difficult to eat. Lastly, the chicken tangine was very soupy and soggy – just too much sauce all the way around, and once again the proportions were much to large making the food even more over saturated. One the bright side, the Chef is very personable and genuinely cares about his customers. I would say that this place has potential because of the ambiance, but the food and the lack of staff are a no for me.

Great go to restaurant year round. From dining in the front bar to sitting out back on the covered patio or bar – food is always excellent. Hints of Moroccan dishes – bronzino; lamb; vegetarian bowl and more. Sadly the street is totally torn up for a considerable time making it one way – this shall pass.
