Seriously a good place to dine in on Valentine’s Day, or any day that fancies you. My husband booked our reservation via the Open Table app a week before Valentine’s Day – we took the 5PM slot to avoid traffic. Getting there was a breeze, with ample parking slots; and we were then seated promptly at a nice corner by the right wing of the restaurant.

The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent!! Got the vegetable soup and my husband got the Cajun chicken corn chowder and both were fantastic! He got the chicken in Madeira wine sauce and I got the tuna steak and we both substituted with scalloped potatoes which were all cooked to perfection! We topped it off with a raspberry blood orange sorbet, which was light and very tasty. We will be back!!!

The Station at Mountain Lakes restaurant has the freshest fish. If you like fresh Halibut, Grouper, Mahi, Cod, etc. look no further. I’ve been coming here just to have their seafood. The selection changes based on the availability of fresh fish that day – only the freshest seafood makes the cut. The Halibut and Mahi especially are my favorite. The fish is fresh and flakes easily with a fork. I usually get it blackened or grilled. The chef is happy to accommodate the customer and modify the way some dishesareprepared.

We were a large group on Friday Evening August 4th. The food and service was fine. Here is my issue with the owner/manager of this restaurant. We all ordered numerous cocktails and wines. My wife asked to taste the Chardonnay. Our waiter said no problem and brought over a very small taste. My wife didn’t like it so she ordered the Pinot Grigio which she liked. Our bill comes at the end of the evening almost $500 and I see they they charged $1.00 for the wine taste sample. It was petty and disgusting. We asked the manager about it and all he said was have a nice evening and walked away. I consider myself a wine connoisseur and never in my 76 years have ever been charged for a taste of a wine. We were all shocked by the charge. By looking at the negative reviews on Yelp the complaints are not about the food but the nickel and dimeing by the owner. Another diner told me that they asked for extra Parmesan cheese on their Caesar salad and was also charged for the cheese by surprise.

Every meal is a delight. Incredibly delicious meals always perfectly prepared. The best service in a friendly atmosphere. Entrees are worth the little bit higher price than some places, but worth every bit. The drinks are very reasonable so the meals end up being overall better than other fine dining in the area.

During an overnight between destinations we discovered great food, great service and a friendly owner who drove us back to our hotel when we simply asked where we should meet Uber. Unexpected and delightful.
