Great food with a local bacon flare. Even foods I don’t enjoy they prepared them in an enjoyable edible way that I loved even Brussel sprouts blueberry cheese cake was amazing. So paid my bill and after the fact realized that I paid 8 dollars for a filet Minon so I pointed it out thinking hey I’m doing the right thing. Now my cc has my first charge plus the additional money that I had to pay for there mistake.

I can honestly say this was one of the best dinning experiences I’ve had in a long time. I used to travel for work and in that would try local restaurants in whatever town we were in and this one ranks up there with the best. The food was magnificent. We split the pulled pork, chicken and waffles, baked beans, mac n cheese, grits and fries. Everything was on point and impressed me. The waitress was super friendly and on top of things. The new owner came by and we talked about new items coming, the crazy demand for fried green tomatoes (which were amazing) and the fact that the closest place you could get chicken and waffles even close to as good as theirs was Cincinnati. Amazing experience. I highly recommend checking them out.

Great service. The menu looks amazing. The interior is very dated and a bit shabby. The food was OK, I expected more from the fried chicken than a slab of tasteless fried chicken breast. The roasted root veggies were heavy on the thyme. The gnocchi dish was pretty good and the crispy little fish weren’t bad, though not what I expected.

Service was great. Ribs were cooked way to long and had no flavor. It’s was alright, for the price I expected way better. Mixed drinks were made well. The mac-n-cheese fritters were 6/10. The Parmesan herb fries were amazing though. Unfortunately it’s too expensive of a place to give a second opinion. But we shall see.

Excellent southern food with a modern flair. The burger was excellent and cooked perfectly. I agree that burgers should not be overcooked. Wait staff was excellent and very attentive even to my shellfish allergy. Would come back again next time I am in the area.

Food was over priced for what we got back in flavor. Although we were one of maybe 4 tables being served at the time, my dinner came out from the kitchen luke warm to cold. The appetizer came out from the kitchen just loaded with grease. I personally think the fryer oil just wasn’t up to temp when our order was made. Now the service from the staff in the front of the house was great! No complaints with them what so ever. It was a very disappointing visit for us after hearing from other locals on how much they loved the place.

Okay, first off, the atmosphere is great – its laid back but not too casual. The food is awesome. The fish tacos were flavorful and just spicy enough. The burger for the night had bacon and feta cheese with a house bbq sauce, it was perfectly cooked and flavorful as well. The drinks were great too!

Stopped in the Steele Pig on our way to a hockey game in Raleigh for dinner. Food was FANTASTIC. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the steak, both were amazing. We will definitely go again. The evening was made even more enjoyable with Dustin, as he went above and beyond, as our waiter; he was very hospitable and knowledgeable of the restaurant.

Absolutely attentive wait staff who never missed a beat. The greatest asset this hidden treasure has is the magnificant food. The bacon cheddar burger comes with such a wonderful twist that it elevates it beyond normal burger rankings. I would highly recommended the Steele Pig to anyone and if your here give the bacon cheddar burger a chance.

Friendly staff. Good Service. Above average food & Taste. The ingredients are of a high quality. Definitely a modern atmosphere. They clearly take pride in their restaurant. I ate there around lunch time. Shown in the photo are the Kitchen Sink Burger a Chicken Salad in a to die for flakey croissant & a side of Butternut squash soup.
