Absolutely fantastic little steak house. I can only attest to their prime rib. They have a slightly unorthodox method of preparing it and it made for one of the best prime rib I have ever had. From the fresh baked bread they make for each meal to the great service, I highly recommend the place. It’s small and cozy and you can tell they take pride in their establishment. I will be going back.

Since we were not aware that reservations are recommended we weren’t able to get a table inside. No worries, we sat outside. Fortunately it was a nice evening. We were worried that they would forget about us though that did not happen. The server was very attentive. The food was very good especially the homemade fresh bread. We will definitely return and make sure that we have reservations.

Great if you enjoy microwaved steak for $35 a plate. The seasoning on it was alright, but when the plate itself is hotter then the food and the steak is rubbery is pretty much a dead giveaway. Server was nice otherwise it would be 1*

I do not want to be writing this review, I have been going to The Strip for years and have always had a positive experience. But my girlfriend and I had an impromptu date night last night and I decided to introduce her to the place. This was the first time I had been since ownership changed, and I’m sorry to say that the experience was not good. I ordered a 16 oz New York Steak, and she ordered the fettucine with steak, we both ordered it medium, what we got was over cooked, low quality meat.

Nope. I have been going to the Strip for 10 years but after they switched owners I’ve had to stop going. Since the change in ownership they upped the prices of everything, changed some of the recipes, and started giving smaller portions even though they increased the cost of everything. I understand with new owners you would maybe want to make some changes but I feel as though the new owners don’t realize that what made The Strip successful was the difference in their menu (especially the dinner rolls) and service that other restaurants in the area do not have. With the changed menu I see no reason to go here just to receive 3/4 of the meal I used to receive especially because I’m paying more now than ever before.

I had the prime rib and it was cooked as I asked but it was not a very good cut of meat. My BF had the T-Bone and it was the same for him… Cooked as he asked but just not a great cut of meat. We set our expectations high since I have lived in Shelton for almost four years and I hadn’t had a chance to go to this restaurant except for the night Cooper Studios had their anniversary party and The Strip was serving some free samples. We had reservations and I wished they would have saved baked potatoes for people that had reservations or at least ask them on the phone, “will you be ordering baked potatoes?” Because they had no baked potatoes left when we got there so I ordered sweet potato fries and the fries had so much salt on them that I couldn’t eat them. My BF ordered the twice baked potato and it was very dry and had very little flavor.

I’ve always loved this place. Very excited about taking my dad here for a Retirement party.. the steaks were warm and the fries were cold and hard. 3/5 steaks were not cooked correctly. Just bummed, will give it another try but it most likely won’t be very soon because it is on the spendy side..
