Had a wonderful lunch here. The chips and guacamole had great flavor. The steak quesadilla had a huge helping of cheeses and the steak bowl was delicious, the crunchy bowl shell was such an excellent touch. The Happy Hour Margaritas were also so good and the perfect amount of punch. The decor was quirky and fun.

Had a wonderful lunch and already looking forward to going back! Vibrant decor and polite service in a relaxed setting. Absolutely loved the shrimp tacos and excited to try the others. Coming from NYC, I thought the prices were very fair for these flavorful and delicious tacos. The Taco Project is totally worth a try if you’re looking for a tasty meal in Tarrytown.

Most pathetic burrito I have ever received, literally just rice and beans with a bit of ground beef. Paid extra for ingredients and those weren’t included either.

Of the many Mexican restaurants that I’ve reviewed, the best ones used the freshest, most authentic ingredients. The Taco Project is in the latter category. However, it goes one step further. While most Mexican joints play it safe by using your expected home-grown ingredients, The Taco Project takes some chances. The vegetable burrito I ordered possessed two noticeable differences. One was that it contained pickled shredded cabbage and a cheese that tasted just like feta cheese. These two differences made this dish memorable and added an explosion of flavors and textures with each bite I took. The fish tacos were presented in soft whole wheat shells, yet another difference between this establishment and the others. Oh, and they give you two choices of guacamole with chips, mild and spicy. It was to die for. The ambiance of this place was festive with a colorful mural full of Mexican motifs. Continuous music was piped in that had a lively beat. While I live an hour away in South Brooklyn, this place will now be my go-to Mexican place whenever I find myself in Tarrytown.

Some of the best tacos I’ve had. Can’t complain. My girlfriend was happy too. Taste is damn good. Portions could be bigger but you still leave satisfied. Service was great too. Nice little spot in a happening town

Great little spot for tacos in Tarrytown. Really cool decor. Indoor and outdoor seating. Place is small but it wasn’t busy when I was there. I had the pork belly tacos. Delicious. I will definitely come back to try their other tacos.

We love the Taco Project! This location is very small but there are a couple of tables outside so there’s usually seating available. The food is great and the staff are very nice.
