Stopped in for some lunch at The Taco Stand Laguna Beach after some Sunday Tide Pooling.

Like the other Taco Stands, the food here is excellent. And like the other Taco Stands, this isn’t your quick taco stand quick eat. Be prepared on weekedays to wait 30 mins for your food. Be prepared on weekends to wait upwards of an hour for your food.

A must-visit taco shop on the California 1 highway, featuring a loaded menu of tacos and burritos, including carne asada, pollo asado, and Baja fish. Some vegetarian options are available as well. I topped my carne asada tacos with fresh pico de gallo and spicy habanero salsa which lit my taste buds on fire. Thankfully, their churros soothe my burning mouth, with their incredible light and crispy texture, which also exploded with a cinnamon sweet flavor, complimented with a butter creme frosting dip.

Simply amazing – fresh, authentic, delicious, and super friendly service. I’ll be back anytime I’m near a location 10/10. Get the California burrito and try all the salsa from the fresh salsa bar and grab a squirt from the fridge or a Modelo from the counter and skip the fountain drink.

Best authentic Mexican taco stand ever in Laguna Beach. Wahoo’s will need to step up their game. I’ve been coming to Laguna for over 30 years and this place is a slice of heaven. Reminds me of South of the border.

So good! This is the third one I’ve been to from Encinitas, La Jolla and now Laguna. Their food is so fresh and delicious. The tortillas are handmade and so good. I got the shrimp and pastor tacos that I love. They are so good, so be prepared to wait for food. Well worth it.

It was so good that I didn’t get to even take a picture before eating, so you’ll have to take my word. Both fish tacos were incredible – the flavors and textures were right on point. There’s a salsa bar available, be sure to grab some of the creamy cilantro sauce, you won’t regret it. We finished off with an order of the freshly made churros and am glad that we did, they were fantastic. The menu isn’t extensive here, but it doesn’t need to be. There is a small lot, but you’ll probably be better off finding some metered street parking nearby.

Delicious food and well priced. Staff was very friendly and place was clean. We recommended them to others staying at our hotel. Short walk to beach so you could get your food to go and sit by the water. You will need to go down stairs to get to beach area but worth it. Nice fire pit outside too if you want to eat at the restaurant.

I recently celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at this taco place in Encinitas, and it was absolutely amazing! The food was top-notch, and the prices were incredibly affordable. We ordered 6 tacos, 1 corn on the cob, churros, and chips with guacamole, and everything was outstanding. The corn on the cob was a standout, and I highly recommend trying it. The best part? The tacos, and the prices were half of what other places charged. Even though there was a line, it’s a great sign for a restaurant. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!
