I came for the buffet around noon and all of the food was luke warm to just plain cold. They opened at 1130 I didn’t understand why it looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The waiter was extremely nice though so huge plus there. Really good mango lassi and the masala wouldve been better if it was warmer. Not sure if I’ll go back.

I’ve been a Google local guide for years and have millions of views on my pictures but I had never been to a place like this: a true FAMILY environment!

This is THE BEST spot in the Augusta, GA area for Indian Cuisine!!! I loved every bit of what I we ordered! I will definitely be going back to eat here when I’m in town

This is so far our favorite place to go eat Indian food in Augusta. Also I appreciate that when you tell them zero spice/heat, they actually listen. Some Indian places do not. I also really appreciated (for all you vegans out there) that they could swap out heavy cream for coconut milk.

I’m an adventurous eater, but due lack of availability in my normal stomping grounds, I had just never had a good chance to try Indian food. I found myself in Augusta for work, so decided to treat my family to something different. I explained my situation to staff, and that I wanted to try a variety of things to expand my palette. They were happy to see someone eager to try something new and seemed genuinely excited at the chance to share his culture with recommendations. And he totally nailed it. I got four dishes and two kinds of naan (plain and garlic… he was insistent on the garlic, and I’m so grateful!) and each one was delicious in a different way. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area. Dining area was cozy, but with enough room to dine comfortably, clean, and inviting. Butter Chicken was my favorite, but if I lived closer, all four dishes would be in rotation. Don’t be afraid to try some goat!

Was invited to a friend’s birthday dinner and this was my first time going to Taj of India. I tried the shrimp jalfrezzi and it was so delicious! They give you the right amount of shrimp and you get to choose your own spice level (how hot do you want it lol), and you get white rice with your meal automatically. The waiters were friendly and prepared our food in a timely manner. I’m definitely going back again!

I recently dined at Taj of India Restaurant and was blown away by the exceptional experience. The Tandoori Chicken, available in both full and half portions was a true standout. The chicken, marinated in a secret blend of herbs and spices, was succulent and flavorful. Additionally, the Tandoori Shrimp really delighted my taste buds with its tangy marinade and perfectly roasted texture. I highly recommend these dishes for an unforgettable dining experience at Taj of India.

Of all the Indian Restaurants in Augusta, Taj of India is the best. I dont like how other Indian restaurants in the city are missing an authentic taste but Taj does a great job of making all the flavors be present. The manager is always very nice and it’s one of the few places in the city where I have to be careful asking for spicy (which I think is a good thing) but most people would do well on medium spiciness here. Overall I think they deserve a try and are much better than Curry Hut and others!

You will not step foot in a better Indian food restaurant in all of the CSRA! I absolutely love this place and ALL their food, the staff is always top notch and ver personable. The owner maintains a hands on management style which helps the place run so efficiently. The kitchen, even when busy, manages to get the food out in a very timely manner. We have been coming here for years and will continue to make it a regular eat out joint!

Just amazing. I love this place. I doubt there is anything bad on the menu. The tika masala has an delicious almost maple flavor. Biryani, yep that’s good too. Have also had the chicken and goat curries, Cucumber salad, and of course Mango Lassi. If I move here for a long term I will become a regular. In the mean time I’ll go as often as I can. Very friendly staff too.
