I held my boyfriend Bill’s 70th birthday party on July7th in the Speakeasyarea of the Talk-House. The food was served hot and was delicious, the drinks were perfectly prepared, and the service was excellent! I would like to recognize and thank Ray the Manager who I worked with to organize the event, everything that I requested was prepared and served beautifully. Michelle, our bartender/server was a delight, her great personalitymade our event truly memorable! Thanks to all the staff that helped us make this the best night ever! Virginia

So I went Solo, atmosphere has that local feel where friends meet for a drink or nice dinner. Bar Staff was very pleasant. Had the Lobster Bisque – a must have, was excellent. dolphin fingers were Pretty good as well, seemed a little over cooked, but maybe that was just me. All in all, a nice place to go with friends or family.

Well, The single free roll was fantastic. Ordered the Pork Bernaise with risotto and vegetables. Plate was so excessively hot I burned my forearm when I grazed it while reaching for the salt, then the Meat was chewy in places, making me think it was microwaved. Server was so sweet and apologetic, said the plates are only “warmed” and the runner is quick so they don’t sit under heat lamps— but my goodness this plate could have fried an egg it was so hot! Now let’s talk about this “risotto” ok… that was like the blandest Uncle Ben’s Yellow Rice from a foild packet. And the vegetables? Tasted like it was Straight out of a frozen microwave steamer bag. I tried to salt and pepper it to no avail.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! The service was great from start to finish. Lisa was our waitress and was just so kind and helpful all the way around!! The food was fresh and delicious. I got the stuffed Florida lobster which was on special. Chef Dave brought it out to me himself and it was just perfect! My husband got the rack of lamb which was also so tender and very well cooked. Great atmosphere… great chef specials. We will definitely be returning. Great job to the staff !!!

We arrive for dinner a little earlier than our reservation but we were immediately seated in a very nice room off of the main dining room. While we waited for our friends to arrive, our server, Alex took our drink orders and brought us some bread . Once we were all seated and had our drinks we ordered appetizers. I had the Three Cheese Escargot and our friends had the Steak Tartare, both where perfect. Then we ordered our entrées, our friends got the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and the Beef Tenderloin Salad. Colleen ordered the Chicken Grenobloise served over angel hair pasta and I had the Steak Sandwich, open face with smashed potato and seasonal vegetables. Everything arrived at the same time, each was at the perfect temperature, they looked and were fantastic. Can’t say enough about how good our server Alex was, he took care of all of our drinks, food orders and made sure they were on time and perfect. Looking for an excellent dinning experience? This is the place to try.

The food was excellent. The presentation for each dish was colorful and made everything look special. The flavors were very remarkable. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming whether you are celebrating with cocktails just out for dinner.

Went on a Saturday night and it was great. Reccomend making a reservation for sure!!! Large menu with a ton of specials as well. They have a full bar plus local craft beer options. I had the Filet and it was DELICIOUS! While pricey, it was one of the best cooked and flavored steaks I’ve had in a while. Definitely will be back to check out happy hour and try all the different appetizers.

I have been here a few times over the past few years since they opened and was never amazed by the food. My boyfriend and I went again this past weekend and won’t be going back. I really really wanted to like the place since it is walking distance from his house and the parking at the restaurant is limited. But for the price, the food was not excellent. A simple vegetable pasta was $26 and to add shrimp was $16…. so you better knock my socks off if I am paying $42 for pasta. Granted, the portions were large so I did have leftovers, but it wasn’t that good so I didn’t even want to eat the leftovers. And my boyfriend’s jumbo shrimp were overcooked and tough. The choice of appetizers for someone that doesn’t eat meat was limited. The things I would usually like (eggplant stack, stuffed mushrooms, fried green tomatoes) all had meat added. Our meals also came out while we were still in the middle of eating our appetizer so we felt rushed. Like I said, if you are going to be charging these prices, you need the service and atmosphere that goes along with it, which includes timing the food and not having sports fans yelling at the bar. The lights were way too bright and finally got dimmed at like 9pm, as we were leaving. Definitely not worth the money if you are looking for a nice dining experience.
