Good selection of beers. Food menu is limited and could be a bit more creative. Service is good. I did notice an armed security guard there on the weekend, we have been coming here for close to 15 years, so this was new, not so welcomed addition we noticed this year.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. We ordered the pan seared scallops, crabcakes, fish and chips and a burger, everything was delicious. It happened to be trivia night, so our evening was especially engaging and fun…. and we won free beer!

Ate dinner here last night. The food was good but the service was horrendous! There was a large group dining there and the staff just didn’t know how to handle it. Our server completely abandoned us. After our drinks sat empty for more than 30 minutes, I finally went to the bar to demand our bill so we could just cut the night early and leave. This was our first time at the Heritage Hotel in years and it is disappointing to see how badly the service has declined.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights while I worked in the area. Coming back late, after a long day, to eat from an hours old buffet is typically a bummer, but The Tavern is an anomaly. Each night I encountered the most helpful and polite staff. Being a chef, I know the industry pretty well, and these folks get it. They’re passionate about service and it shows. Even on Thanksgiving day. Stellar attitudes. Attentive service all around.

Burger came out raw when ordered medium but Anthony made it right. It’s more of a wedding venue more than anything or maybe a place to have a catered party. I mean it’s a hotel restaurant so what can you really expect right? Pool tables are a nice touch however they are in very poor condition for such nice tables and they have no pool sticks so be sure to bring your own! Friendly staff and it went from a quiet night to Crazy very quickly with the wedding in town haha
