Welcome to our restaurant with its Colonial Tap Room featuring overhead beams, open hearth fireplace, and a charming bar. Our restaurant is open seven days a week year round, serving lunch Monday through Saturday, brunch on Sundays and dinner nightly. Dining is in several separate dining rooms including a garden greenhouse. Our outdoor dining is dog friendly!
We cater to banquets, weddings and private parties in our ballroom or small private dining room.

We had the braised lamb shank and the stuffed shrimp. It was one of those meals where every bite we took was just as a amazing as the last. The seasoning, temperature, texture and presentation were all top marks. For desert… The chocolate banana bread pudding, (Don’t miss it regardless of how full you are). Historic tavern in the quaint village of Rhinebeck. Might be the oldest inn in America, opened in 1766. George Washington slept here. Staff is friendly. Food is so, so. I had a Caesar salad with chicken. Salad was good and I could taste the anchovies but the chicken was bone dry, I ended up leaving half on my plate.

So historic. There are a couple of dark low ceiling rooms you can eat in to get the full historic atmosphere or you can sit out on the glass and closed veranda. Either way the beer and food was delicious. The wait staff was very good, and it’s tough to get wait staff in this day and age…

It is a 250 year old inn… so it has a certain rustic charm. Exposed rough beams all around. Not a huge menu but what they do they do pretty well. Well worth a visit. Sorry that the only picture here is my beer…. our server Gen was excellent.
