I love the atmosphere and the sights outside the window are gorgeous, but the service isn’t so good. The food isn’t too bad, but the menu is very limited. I liked the restaurant better before the COVID silliness. This restaurant has a great potential of becoming the place to go in Firestone, but I honestly don’t think the management and owners don’t want that.

We walked in tonight 545, waited to be seated for about 10 minutes. No problem. It was quiet. A few tables filled. Waitress eventually walked by us, we said hi and were ignored. We waited another few minutes then left. Too bad ! Because we are good tippers. There are other restaurants in town that have much better service.

The food was OK the view was amazing. The 1 stat is for the bad service and prices. The service was horrible. We were 1 of three parties there. The other 2 left before us and we still had to go inside to the bar and ask for refills and for our check and a box. They add 20% to the check automatically, which this individual did not earn. I don’t understand how there could be so few people and so little service. A shame really because the patio is beautiful. Also for Colorado, poor beer selection. They have great potential they’re just not using it.

It was okay – nice view, decent food, but nothing overly impressive. Service was okay, again, nothing to be impressed about. We went in with two families totaling 7 people and a baby and it took them quite a few moments to stop their conversation at the bar to seat us. Service could be worse, food could be worse, but they need to get rid of the automatic 20% for tip added to the bill.

This place is great! Love the rustic atmosphere and I’m sure many golfers love its location too. Food has been consistently very good, and the wait staff are really nice. Hopefully the Tavern gets more recognition as its just a mile off Colorado Blvd. and not quite so noticeable. If you like the place pass it on to your friends.

Having eating here before and enjoying it, I was excited to bring my son and daughter in law here to dinner to celebrate their birthdays. I have never been treated as poorly as I was from the management staff on this occasion. When asked how we were enjoying our appetizers, we stated our dis-satisfaction with a couple of items. From that point on the night deteriorated horribly. The assistant manager, Jessica, became very defensive and rude stating “well other people have eaten this and not complained” and then getting an attitude when we asked to speak with a manager. Somewhere along the line she told us we were being video recorded and then brought out the bouncer/chef to tell us that if we didn’t like the food, maybe this place wasn’t for us. Really???? what kind of customer service is this? Terrible food, terrible service with the exception of our server who at least attempted to satisfy the customer, and a forced 20% gratuity on top of it all. Do yourself a favor, find someplace else to eat!!!!!!!! If I could take stars away, I certainly would.

The Tavern is absolutely lovely! We love going there! Always get treated well and have a positive experience, enjoy GREAT food and love the setting. Try the fries with a beer on the patio while enjoying the view of the continental divide! Can’t beat it!

Food is good, but I really don’t like the fact that they tack in 20% to your bill for tips whether you like it or not. I understand the concept, but it’s counterintuitive as I have NEVER received good service here. And to be honest why should anyone expect great service here? Servers know they get a 20% tip no matter what so they really don’t care, and it definitely shows! In fact as I’m writing this review we’ve been waiting 15 minutes just to have someone come over to tab us out! Crazy! We flagged down the manager and try and give him feedback about our experience and he literally says “I can’t do this!” And he walks away with the bill! What does that even mean? Did you take care of it? Are we good? Did you comp our bill? I’ve never seen a manger act this way, I’m so confused!!!… so if we aren’t square, reach out to me and I’ll gladly come back and pay the tab, but i assume by you taking the bill and walking away we’re good??? Just like you said you “can’t do this”, unfortunately, I have things to do so I can’t sit around and wait another 15 minutes to have someone acknowledge us to let us know otherwise… And lastly, we were just trying to provide feedback so you guys can improve. We like the food and we like the atmosphere, but if you’re in the food industry you have to be able to take constructive criticism. That’s how you grow and get better!
