Service was top notch here. This is an old time barbeque served up in heaping portions accompanied by delicious sides. You won’t be disappointed by your choice of meats and the saucy goodness. Both the baked beans and the various versions of fries are great sides. The atmosphere is rustic and worn in as well as the decor, adding to the whole eating experience. Our waitress was awesome and so was our order taker. All our food was as ordered, hot and steaming and accurate. The Texan never disappoints when you roll in for some good comfort food.

The meat is good. The sauce is good. The beans had too much cumin in them for my taste. The rolls were like they were packaged slider buns. The rib tips were more like ribs than tips, they were nice and tender though. All in all good food although it definitely isn’t like any of the Texas bbq I’ve ever had.

What a fantastic place with many different types of meat and sides that are just fantastic. They went over and Beyond to make me comfortable. I got a Summer Shandy Beer which is basically a lemon beer and they let me put some lemonade in My Cup to make it more lemony! What a fantastic idea that was!

Very disappointed. Ordered burnt ends and chicken plate. Burnt ends were extremely fatty but the meat was really dry and chicken was very dry as well. Beans had a weird flavor like someone added chili seasoning and didn’t have a good flavor.

Do not get the rib tips. I ordered a lb of rib tips and had 4 golf size bones weighing in at .9 of an oz and had so many other bones in the dish. The meat was not present at all. The meat was tender which could explain the reason for the excess bones as the meat fell off in the process of cooking or even serving I would assume. I spoke with the manager and she told me rib tips have bones in them. I make ribs all the time and have had my fair share of rib tips. The amount of bones and no meat just makes me shake my head. We will not be going back.

Oh my goodness! I can’t say enough about this place.. we’ve been coming here for years.. never stops surprising me how good the food is.. older western atmosphere.. you MUST eat here at least once.. their bbq pork is juicy..tender.. oh my..its just great! Pick 3 plate.. smoked bbq beef ribs, pork spare ribs, and smoked sausage is what hubby had.. ribs are tender..fall off the bone! Excellent baked plans. Coleslaw.. just good food!

This place is hot garbage. In no way is this legitimate BBQ in any way.. Improperly cooked, old, greasy, just terrible.. I wouldn’t serve this to inmates on death row. Ordered 3 meat plate, brisket was WAY overcooked and dry.. Pork was also very dry and flaky. Sausage was alright. Baked beans was somewhat edible and the BBQ sauce was low grade store bought nonsense. Hard pass
