What a spot! My mom told me about this place knowing I’d love it, so when we were passing through town we stopped for tea & a treat before closing. It was so lovely. Ellie & Steven were very accommodating & kind to us. The tea was delightful, & so was the lemon poppy/limoncello icing muffin + the blueberry brandy cookie. Mmmm mm good. I will be back the next time I’m around ♡ thank you for the hospitality!

Impetuous Fitness
I’ve eaten here twice and today took my son for breakfast. First of all, the atmosphere is unique because it’s open, yet has a cozy and welcoming feel to it. The staff is so down to earth and check to see how the meal is regardless of whether busy or not. Today I had the pecan bourbon and my son the raspberry. He was surprised at how good it was and I was again happily shocked at the flavor. The food is carefully prepared and the flavor is the perfect balance of what it’s supposed to be (not one ingredient overpowering the other). We also had Carmel fraps and again, both is appreciating the flavor. I definately recommend eating here. I didn’t get a picture of his meal because he starting eating before I had camera out. These photos are of todays and the breakfast I had prior. The presentation was prettier than the one photo shows (no fruit. And French toasts position on image, but I started to get ready to dig in moving food around in the plate, and remembered to take a photo so I could leave a review with photo 🙂

This is a must see when in Brenham. From the moment you walk in the lead glass door, you’re in a special place. Ellie and company buy the best quality ingredients and make everything on-site. I had the Monte sandwich, which is a turkey sandwich. I’ve reviewed restaurants all over the world, so it takes a lot to surprise me. This sandwich not only surprised me but was absolutely the best I’ve ever had . Bread is made in house and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Raspberry liquor sauce on the turkey is stunningly wonderful. Highly recommend you try it.

Perfect lunch spot for enjoying a GREAT cup of coffee or tea, catching up with a friend, or even getting some work done. The atmosphere is calming. The young man who was our server/barista was extremely attentive and friendly. I ordered a iced matcha latte with pineapple, he suggested oat milk- which made it so much better, I give it a 10/10! I ordered The Full Monte which was very different from any sandwich I’d ever tried, but to say it was delicious is an understatement! My sandwich was served with a delicious side salad and my meal even came with dessert- a pumpkin cream cheese muffin.. which was out of this world good! Suuuuper moist, not too sweet, & RICH with pumpkin. Overall this place exceeded my expectations, even after I had read so many other 5 star reviews prior to my visit! If you love coffee or tea, a relaxing atmosphere, and good quality, FRESH ingredients, combined in mouth watering ways.. You HAVE to try this place!!

I was lucky enough to visit for my first time during their first breakfast service and it was phenomenal! The bourbon peach french toast was absolutely delicious, and would pretty much be worth the drive from Austin just for that. The service was surprisingly fast and the staff were all super helpful and friendly. Don’t forget your dessert on the way out!

Love visiting the Tilted Windmill for my favorite coffee and teas. The ambience is antique and unique, the employees are authentic and the coffee is strong and delicious. Thankful for the experience. Got to see their new sign going up and am so proud of how far they’ve come.

One of Brenham’s best kept lunch secrets! I eat here for lunch when I’m in town monthly. They have a small menu but all items taste fresh and delicious. The Reuben is fantastic and portions are just right. Plus I get a scrumptious desert with my meal- brownies are the bomb. Stubborn sodas and a great coffee bar.
