My wife and I are Milford residents and looking for a new breakfast place. Decided to try the Town Common based on good reviews and we were not disappointed. The place is small, only 5 or 6 tables plus bar seating and it looks very clean. We arrived at 11am on a Sunday morning in July and there was no wait, we sat ourselves at one of the tables. The service was prompt and we quickly ordered as we always like to try the corned beef hash at new restaurants. We both got the Irishman Benedict. We were nervous as they don’t offer hollandaise sauce, only their own 3-cheese sauce. It was delicious. In the future I would order the cheese sauce on the side as it was a little too cheesy for my taste but still very good in moderation. The real surprise was the corned beef hash, it knocked my socks off! This isn’t Hormel canned hash, this is homemade with real chunks of corned beef like you’d get at the deli. I literally cleaned my plate. We had stopped at the ATM on the way as other reviewers mentioned they only accept cash. We noticed a sign on the door that says they do accept credit cards using the Square service. This might be a new thing for them but we paid cash since we already had it. We were very satisfied with the quality of the food and the service as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant. We will most certainly come back again.

Lovely place. Very freindly waitress. We ordered the Irishman Benedict and the Uncommon Common. Both are large portions, home cooked style, yummy. Beautiful views. Definitely, a hidden gem.

This place is awesome for breakfast. The food is really good and the portions are super generous. If you are a breakfast person, this is for you. Note the actual restaurant is very small so seating can be a bit dicey, regardless its worth a wait in my opinion. Bon Appetite!

Best Reuben I’ve had in a long, long time. The place does take credit cards and is no longer ‘cash only’, so anyone who took away a star because of that needs to change their rating (and if you deducted more than one star, that’s more a reflection of you than the restaurant). Staff was very friendly. Mostly regulars and locals and, given the quality of the food, I can understand why. I’m not in Hopedale often but will try to make it my go-to place when I’m nearby.

I had the Benedict called The Irishman. My daughter had the cinnamon raisin French toast. Both were delicious. Friendly service, and a nice place! We would definitely come again.

Quite possibly the best breakfast in the area. It’s a shame I’ll never return because of the insulting waitstaff. On the menu, there’s a section that reads “served with home fries and toast”, but the first item listed in the section doesn’t include home fries. We asked for clarification and the waitress told us unambiguously that it did. It showed up without it, so we asked where it was. She brought it to us without any talk of an additional charge and then billed us extra for it. I reminded her nicely of our discussion and her reply was “yeah well the lite breakfast doesn’t come with home fries”. The unclear menu and the potential miscommunication could have so easily been corrected by a $3.00 comp or even an apologetic gesture. She was very quick to place all the blame on us and was backed by her fellow entitled waitstaff. I’m in customer service, I know what it looks like and how easy it often is to make a situation right, and they didn’t even try. I was becoming a regular and always with friends in tow. No more.

My husband and I love going to the Town Common. The food is great, the service is great and it is a really nice little spot. The corned beef hash is really good and the pancakes are huge!
