Always one of our favorite places to enjoy when in town. Food is fabulous, but cooked to order, so expect a wait. Dining area is small and if you choose to eat outside, they don’t offer service to those tables.

The Cuban Sandwich was the best Cuban I have ever had. The Lobster Tacos were to die for. And the Sweet Plantains were great! This is a very authentic restaurant and I HIGHLY recommend eating there. Not to mention, their Sanitation Score was a 100!!! I have literally never seen a score of 100. Awesome job Tropical Grill!

We went to The Tropical Grill for dinner on our first day of vacation in Spruce Pines. The small indoor seating area was packed with international handmade items for sale. I ordered the soup of the day, chicken vegetable. It was delicious, my girls’ favorite food on vacation.

My husband and I are Cuban American, raised in Miami. We came to Spruce Pine, NC, on vacation and had dinner. It was delicious!!! I was amazed with the variation of caribean platters on the menu.

Grew up in Florida where Cuban food is a big thing. Best area to go, outside of Cuba, is Miami for great Cuban food. I was blown away to find this hidden gem in western NC. The food was amazing! Tasted like I was back in Miami. If you are looking for great food this is the place to go. It was a little detour out of our sightseeing but well worth it. Would go out of our way every time to eat here. Can’t wait to try everything from their menu.

A tropical gem, nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina! The menu is pages long, the atmosphere bright and inviting, the service friendly and attentive. Oh, and the food is as good as it gets. This place is a treasure. We found it this time by chance —our next visit will be by design. Five stars simply aren’t enough to do it justice!

I’ve wanted to stop here for a bit now. My husband finally got to bring me for a belated birthday lunch and I was NOT disappointed! The food was so good and fresh. It was a tad more pricey than we were expecting but the portion sizes were HUGE and the flavors were worth the price. We both said we’ve found a new local favorite.

We had a fabulous lunch here! I had the grouper plate, which came with black beans, rice, onions and plantains and then Caribbean salsa. My husband got the grilled chicken salad with the garlic jalapeño dressing. This was our first time and we will come back! Delicious, authentic Caribbean/Colombian food and wonderful service (thank you Tabitha!)

Such a unique place tucked away on a quiet street in Spruce Pine! The food choices were numerous and the food we had was delicious! We are outside on a breezy June evening and enjoyed every minute! And. . .they have super cute jewelry, bags and other ‘tropical’ items for sale inside! Highly recommend!
