Great view – mid meal. This was our second time coming here and a lot has changed since the last time we came. We waited a little while to be seated, not a big deal but it was the first symptom of being understaffed. Once seated it took a while to place our order (4 burgers and a salad). The food took an average time to come out but off the bat, they forgot the side salad for one burger. The burgers themselves were a lot smaller than the “half pound” advertised (see photos) and were cooked a few different ways than what we asked for (my dad brought up the wrongly cooked burger to the waiter and it just got a “sorry about that”). To close out the meal, the check came and the drinks we ordered were $2 more than advertised and we had to get the check changed. Overall the meal wasn’t “bad” but it wasn’t something to write home about. The mail redeeming quality is the back deck and view we had at sunset.

Took family visiting the area out to lunch at Upper Deck. Less crowded and costly than lunch in Bar Harbor. The food was good. Service was quick and friendly. View of a working waterfront. We love Southwest Harbor. Recommend! Lunch included lobster BLT, Blackledge Bellini, lobster rolls and the Fisherman’s platter. No one was disappointed.

The atmosphere and location is beautiful, a great view for lunch while in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food was lackluster. Both my wife and I left hungry and the prices did not compare to the quantity of food provided. Quality of the food was good. Overall an okay experience, much better options locally

This is classic good seafood your grandma made! So yummy. Had the baked haddock and could not stop eating it even though I was full. – crunchy topping firm fish and buttery goodness. Sides were also very good

Stopped by after a long day of hiking and we had a great dinner. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was great and my three boys wanted to go back the next night (but closed on Wednesday). Linguine with clam sauce was amazing, lobster rolls were excellent and the chowder was phenomenal. If you are in town I would recommend stopping by.

Told the hostess I wanted to order food to go. She said, oh, you can order at the bar. I said thank you, and had a seat on a stool. Lady comes by and says hello, then goes to other end of the bar and stands there talking with 3 or 4 people. After a couple of minutes she comes back and sits what can I get you. I said a brown ale. She said I have just the thing and pres a draft. Did it down, and I so I wasn’t to order to go She says they are out of to go boxes. I leave dissapointed

Crab cakes were delicious. Although packed, service was reasonable. The kitchen did mess up side orders for myself and two people nearby but made it right quickly. Very nice view of the harbor.

The food was underwhelming and expensive. I wasn’t served the correct dish. Calamari is bland. My parents and I waited for at least 10-15 minutes just standing around waiting to be seated and it wasn’t busy. The views are lovely though. Staff was decent. I’m 25 and never leave bad reviews. Take that as a warning lol TLDR: mediocre, overpriced food with good views, decently friendly staff, and horrible calamari. 5.5/10 rating
