Best BBQ on earth. Great sauce, great fried chicken, great staff. I couldn’t be happier that they reopened. Get a Fun in a box or Polish boy.

My honest review… I’m a first time customer and have been wanting to try this place out for the longest. I wasn’t met with a greeting upon entering the business, a guy just walked to the front and we stood there with a awkward silence for a few seconds. I gave him my name and he proceeded to bag my order with no gloves. When I got home and opened my containers my fries were cold, and I noticed the portions are small. I ordered a slab of ribs only to get home and find out I got a slab of Baby back ribs. Honestly the food was not bad tasting at all, and if it were not for the lack of customer service, and being served cold hard fries this place has a unique menu with great potential. Quality customer service, and fresh food preparation has to be a must in order for you to profit off of happy hungry customers. I spent 50 dollars of my hard earned money and I honestly feel it wasn’t worth it. I will not be returning. Quality means alot to people who work hard and are in the business to serve the public.

First, please note that my review is for The Village Chief, NOT for Mama’s Boy BBQ. Most of the reviews here as of the time of my review are for the old restaurant, not this current restaurant. As such, the star ratings primarily reflects the old restaurant.

This catfish was delicious just I should’ve asked the young guy to fry them harder, but I enjoyed it. I also asked for Mac an Cheese and baked beans and he still gave me fries. I specifically said I didn’t want fries. It’s okay. Overall the place is nice service was awesome and I will definitely be back. I want to try their Mac and cheese with baked beans and greens.

The owner was very nice and the ribs, though a bit under sauced, were very tender. They were supposed to be baby back ribs but were not and we’re very meaty. The coleslaw was your typical slaw from a fast food restaurant, but tasty and fresh. The hand cut fries were delicious and we received a lot of them. In fact, so many that we had to throw a fair amount away. We were looking for a place where we could get good ribs as our experience at other local rib joints has not been good. I’m anxious to try some of the other items on his menu including the sausage and the collard greens.

Really great food,. Try the polish boys. They are to die for. Plentiful of chicken and sandwich if you get the platter. Prices are reasonable. Don’t forget your bottle of sauce. On Vine Street in Eastlake, the staff is really nice. The sauce is of a sweet tone with a cinnamon smell

Food was very good. Brisket was tender and sauce was tasty. I was at first against sauce on my fries, but after trying it, so good. Mac and cheese was good. I also got a slice of cake, it’s rather expensive and not worth the price.

The ribs were sliced individually rather than in slab form. Not necessarily a bad thing, definitely makes them easier to eat, but I wasn’t expecting that and thought it was probably something they should let people know about. The ribs themselves were good. You can really taste the smoky favor on them, which I loved, but it kind of drowned out the rub. The sauce was good, too, but a bit too runny for my taste. I like that they put it on the fries, though, that was a nice touch. Also enjoyed the mac n cheese, it really does feel homemade and, while it’s not bursting with flavor (or, maybe, it was just overpowered by the ribs), the flavor it has is good. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

I was very disappointed with my meal. I tried brisket for the first time and that was the only thing that was good. The first it was placed on two slices of bread which one I got homework soggy. The side of cornbread tasted like plaster in crumbled because I was so dry. My fries were dry and they’re probably the first order the fries that I couldn’t finish eating. The cost of the meal was way too high for what we paid for in the quality didn’t meet my expectations.

Ordered through DoorDash. Food came promptly and hot. We had the brisket dinner and perch dinner. Generous portion of brisket that was delicious. Perch were good sized pieces and crispy breading is perfect not overly seasoned. First time we’ve had Mama’s Boy but definitely do it again and highly recommend.
