Tavern food with great friendly service. Nice clean older building. The food came out quickly. The fried pickles were great and a little unusual from others I have had. They were more like sliced spears than pickle chips. The bacon cheeseburger was a nice thick patty with hickory smoked bacon. Parking is available along the streets.

Got the 1/2 & 1/2 dinner on carry out. Shrimp was good. Fish had a thick breading (just not my preference). Hushpuppies were good. Was suppose to get fries with my order, didn’t get them. Also, instead of a roll I was given a 1/4 loaf of uncut bread. Coleslaw wasn’t the best at all and had a sour taste. Tried to call multiple times to talk to them about this and the phone line was busy.

They are known for their burgers. The JOKE is they have to put (hate to say it in a review…but)crack in their burgers. These burgers are so incredibly amazing! I’ve always heard so much about the burgers. I have only been a couple of times, so I haven’t ever had anything but a burger.
