I went here with some girlfriends for a fun lunch and loved my order! It was on the pricier side for sure! I was torn between a wedge salad and a two stack Turkey sandwich! I ended up getting the sandwich and it was delicious (like beyond incredible!!) The staff was friendly and the wait time wasn’t too bad!

Years of visiting Balboa Island and my family and I always find ourselves coming back to The Village Inn. A fun atmosphere and special nights for trivia and bingo really set this place apart. It really brings out the community aspect of Balboa. The food has never disappointed me, from salads to fried chicken sandwiches. Make sure you order a cookie skillet to satisfy those sweet cravings before you go.

This food is far from spectacular. So flavorful and amazing. The staff is the best the closest to to the best hospitality. The staff makes sure your taking care of. These drinks are totally amazing the moment I got half way into my glass and suddenly I couldn’t feel my toes. That moment I knew I was going to enjoy this place. The patio is stiunning and beautiful. The environment is so calm you could literally enjoy your best life right here if you could. Def coming back to enjoy more food their nachos, jalapeño poppers to the blackened salmon, fish and chips and also the prime rib so delicious my stomach is screaming out to come back and have some great food. Didn’t enjoy much about this place. The service was unfriendly and a bit slow. The bathrooms were broken, hot, smelly and there was no seat covers. After we had a drink and appetizer we noticed that the ledge right behind out booths was covered in old dust and rat droppings!!! I looked all along the ledge and it was the same the whole length of the wall booths. I spoke to the manager privately (I was not trying to make a scene and get a free meal of it) he said yes, we’re dealing with it but, honestly the dust let’s me know I that it’s been there a while. Plus, the whole time we spent there nobody came to clean it up or “deal with it”.

AVOID this one: It seems nice on the outside, but the service is lacking and the prices are inflated. Not a good value. It took 40 minute to get a basic burger and a salad, with empty tables in the place.There’s a good reason why there’s no line to get in here.

There was rat feces on the ledge in the back by the booths. My wife and I couldn’t believe it when we saw it. And it wasn’t in just one spot! You could see droppings along the ENTIRE wooden ledge that wrapped all the way to the bathrooms! What a Disgusting place. Someone should call health and safety on this restaurant..
