The waitress was amazing, very friendly and very fast with our food. I would come back only for the service, though. Although the food was good, it wasn’t good enough for us to come back any time soon. My biscuits and sausage gravy were pretty good (actual sausage chunks would have made it better). My fiancé’s chicken biscuit and gravy seemed to just be a simple chicken patty and wasn’t fried all that long; he did not care for it all that much. I loved the biscuits though. I would be open to trying their dinner. We had breakfast as we ended up going during the tale end of breakfast hours. Overall, 4/5, because of the waitress and atmosphere. I would not go back for breakfast (at least for quite a while).

Extremely wonderful service and huge portions. Food was awesome. Husbands broasted chicken was humongous. Everything gets 5 stars but hope the loud obnoxious patron who was there tonight isn’t there our next visit. Want to pick up breakfast pizza for work next time. We will be back.

The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing! However, we came in with a VERY large group. We COMPLETELY understood that it would be awhile with everything, but we gave ideas as to best take our orders since we weren’t sitting by our family members, and we’ve done this and been in this situation before…our waitress refused to take our suggestions. We even told her multiple times that we’d rather have our meals come out as families instead of ‘in order’ of each person’s individual orders. She stated they did this so they easily knew who had what. Unfortunately, in the end, they still had to ask who ordered which meal… Utimately, this created chaos when she was trying to figure out our bills – it took four tries for me to get the right one…

Found this little gem of a restaurant while searching on Facebook (Eastern IA Broasted Chicken Resource Page).. someone mentioned Village Tap. It’s seriously the BEST broasted chicken we’ve found in the CR area! We ordered to-go… food was fresh, hot, juicy, & large pieces! Seasoning & crispness was spot on! Staff was super friendly! Want to go back to try their pizza & burgers!

Cedar Rapids — food is always spot on, can’t remember a bad meal. Bartenders are amazing, busy (food & drinks) but very personable. Go on a Wednesday night play music bingo – Lisa the organizer is great fun (not for the thin skinned ).
