The English Muffin was delicious and the waitress did pretty well for being new! Other than that though not too much good to say. The only thing that came out hot was the English muffin. The eggs and redskins were cold and both subpar for taste, but if they came out hot they might’ve tasted better. My brother also happened to get a hair in his redskin potatoes which is the main reason they got a 2 star, without they would’ve gotten a 3 star. Hopefully my experience was a one time thing.

This place is such a perfect college town brunch place. My husband had visited this place over 20 years ago and still remembers this place, that’s how good this place is! Price is super reasonable, their waffles were to die for and the eggs benedict was prepared to perfection. Their coffee was great as well. It is nice and spacious and the customer service was great. They do not take cash, so make sure to have cash handy!

We are… very happy that we visited The Waffle Shop during Family Weekend at PSU. We waited about 30 minutes to get in. The service and food were excellent. We ordered blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon with the breakfast potatoes. The waffles are amazing and the orange juice is freshly squeezed! Overall a great experience, recommended by our son who is attending PSU. I highly recommend visiting this location when at Penn State, it is worth the wait!

Was looking to get a table at 8:30 AM and there were several open clean tables (at least 15 open tables) but the host would not seat us because he said he didn’t want the kitchen to get mad. After waiting inside for a bit… he asked us to go outside and wait (basically to create demand). I would not go back there if they can not let a family with kids sit down to eat.

Looking for breakfast in State College? Look no further than the Waffle Shop on College avenue. Their pancakes, that taste like they’re made from cake batter, are downright mouth watering. The waffles are just as yummy. My only critique, and reason for the 4-star review, is that it’s a cash only operation … in 2023. Ugh.
