Restaurant is located in the Ramada Inn in Hancock. Great views of the Portage Lake Bridge from the dining room and outside seating. Very casual and cozy. Ordered the lake trout dinner and they’re substitution friendly. Meal was reasonably priced but the trout was lacking something in seasonings. Service was great! I would eat here again.

Food is usually pretty good, but the service can be hit or miss. I just ate here last week and the food took over 1 hour to be prepared. Multiple tables who came after my party received their food before us(even though 1 group was larger than ours.)There was no apology or any offer to comp even an appetizer. I realize sometimes certain items take longer to cook, but we just had salads and burgers, and the place wasn’t even very busy at the time.

For years we went to the Waterfront for our birthday dinners. Our last visit was in January 2018. My wife ordered a free steak dinner for her birthday, and I ordered the big burrito. When the burrito arrived it looked about 2/3 the size of previous big burritos I had had there. My wife’s steak was tasty but full of gristle. A good steak has meat and fat, not meat and gristle. The gristle came home with us and the dogs liked it, at least.

My birthday, ordered the 16 oz rib eye. What a disappointment. I guess I should not expect much for free. Get what you pay for. My husbands prime rib was awesome. Waitress was great.

Food came out fast, about 30 seconds after we got our salads. JUMBO shrimp are medium sized at best and not worth the cost. Ribs fall apart, but are very salty.
