Fantastic restaurant! If you’re near Cook Forest it’s worth the stop for a lovely dining experience. Food is all homemade including their salad dressings and an array of desserts. It looked so good, in fact, that I forgot to take pictures and just started eating! Put this on your list to try! Thanks for a great anniversary dinner Wayside!

We’ve camped in the Cook Forest area for years and never knew about this gem! Wonderful atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff and the food was absolutely delicious! I had Chilean sea bass and my husband had osso bucco that was so tender he only needed a fork. Perfect spot for a romantic couples dinner.

What a phenomenal experience! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was quaint and unique. I had the Chicken Marsala and it’s now my new favorite dish. It had a rich delicious sauce with a tender chicken breast, so good you just want to take a piece of bread and clean off your plate! The crab cakes and artichoke dip were also excellent. I would highly recommend the Wayside Inn for a lovely dinner any day of the week or special occasion.

What an absolutely amazing dining experience! Let’s start with our waitress Nicole, (who is also the owner) what an amazing person to talk to. We talked about the waysides heritage and her plans for the restaurant and where she sources her food for the establishment. I specifically asked because the steak that everyone had at our table was agreeably the best beef products we had ever had at a restaurant. Nicole informed us that she gets her beef locally and some of her vegetables as well. I found it very comforting to know that Nicole and her family take enough pride in there cozy establishment to actually care where their product comes from and the support they give back to their own community. All and all what should have been an extremely stressful night “sat. April 1st, running on a generator with no phone lines” ended up being one of the best dining experiences my family has ever had. Thank you Nicole and your entire family for being terrific hosts!!!!!

The Chilean Sea Bass that I had on Saturday was absolutely fabulous!! The cut was thick and the flavor was so amazing. The young chef is a personable and interesting person. So glad we went!!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here! They serve and support local sourced foods! Pride themselves on making as much as they can from scratch! He even shared some history with us about the building! The cook for the night even came out to thank us for coming out! Very respectful, professional and cordial people! All the food was phenomenal!

Let’s start with the cozy atmosphere! Haunted and old..eligent and amazing. The food was phenomenal!! Got the lobster rav, scallops, salad, bread and cheesecake. All VERY AMAZING! Our waiter was great. Talked and checked in with us often. Was a pleasure to have met him as well! You MUST stop at Wayside if you are in the area!
