The wheat market is an absolutely wonderful staple of Chester! Unbelievable soups, specials, and cookies! One of our favorite spots there is and it goes way beyond their amazing food! Love the Wheatmarket. Great sandwiches freshly made with quality ingredients, a variety of homemade soups that changes every day & always at least one hot entree available even when going for a later lunch. They have specialty food items that you can browse while they get your food ready. Limited seating available but it’s well set up so you don’t feel like you are sitting on top of one another…. Cashier was very nice. Food smelled good, though I only purchased cookies. They looked really good, and should have been for $2 each. However, we found them to be dry, not very tasty, and quite lacking in the sweetness one normally finds in a home baked cookie. Actually, not sweet at all. I live 30 min away, otherwise, I’d return the uneaten portions of the 4 cookies for a refund.

The best deli around! We’ve been looking for a good deli for over a year since moving to the area and we finally found one at the Wheatmarket. We’re just sad it took us so long to find this gem. Such friendly service and great homemade food, not to mention awesome deli sandwiches.
