Stumbled across this place accidentally while in the area and decided to go in for a drink. Well 3 drinks, 3 appetizers, and a dessert later, I started planning when to come back before I even paid my bill!

My wife and I visited numerous times, and ordered multiple delicious items. Last weekend, I found my favorite dish. We like the atmosphere, location, and food. I am not a drinker, but my wife is very impressed with The Whiskey Six wine selections. The picture I took was chicken kebab in dinner menu. Heck of a presentation!!!

Best Grilled Octopus I’ve ever eaten. Incredible dish. Worth the visit just to try…especially if you’ve never eaten Octopus before. (Think grilled scallops…but better). The chef knows what he is doing…this is not easy to cook. Decided to try after tasting the Calamari…perfect amount of batter to Squid.

Fun place in the village of GP. Tons of space. They get my +3 points for their friendly and excellent service! But me (and my friend) agreed we need to -2 because of a few reasons. They’re having a bit of an identify crisis it seemed like; very woody and history interior while techno beats playing, like huh? And then the food was cheap-diner level at best. A great $5 burger, but I’m sure it was more than that. And I was pleased to see they had the Last Word Cocktail (classic detroit invented cocktail) right at the top of the cocktail list, and I was surprised since I knew Green Chartreuse was hard to get right now and so I asked and yep, they didn’t have it. And the other cocktails were dive bar level quality with restaurant pricing. So I’d make the polite suggestion that they get their identity figured out and then clean up some of the menu items and then you’ve got a really nice place in a really nice area! 🙂

We had a great meal and excellent service. The arancini balls were spot on. The shrimp was fresh and the grilled octopus was excellent.

A group of about 25 of my friends dined at Whiskey Six two Sundays ago. The service was amazing, food came out pretty quick. The waitresses handled our large group very well, with a smile. Food and drinks are always really good. Of course we all have them a bigger tip. Thanks so much for accommodating us. We will definitely be back.

New owners. That’s the only reason I went in. Four of us. Lettuce wraps were ridiculous. It was probably $.75 worth of food for $14. French fries were soaked in grease. Did not care for meal at all. Service was very friendly as was all the wait staff. Atmosphere was like a loud sports bar. I will not be going back.

Walked into a calm, surreal place that was very inviting, smooth not so bright atmosphere that was relaxing. Very nice. Was just having snacks and drinks so we ordered the almighty Hopslam and an Old Fashioned to start with. For eats we snacked on Bacon Deviled Eggs and Michigan Nachos. Deviled Eggs were great just didn’t expect only 4 halves was planning on 6 for $6 lol! Didn’t say anywhere small plates. The plate of Michigan Nachos as small as it was for $11, well the only thing that saved it was the pulled pork which was a bit dried out but had the most amazing flavor. Other than that it said it came with their beer cheese on it which after clarifying with the bartender was supposed to be a beer cheese but tasted simply like nacho cheese. That’s why we asked, we were going to order the pub bread which said it came with the beer cheese but after finding out the beer cheese was what tasted exactly like nacho cheese on the nachos we passed. The Old Fashioned was excellent, at $12 it should have been..

The server we had was delightful, so that is always a plus. My salad however was so sad and disappointing. I could have made a better salad at home. There was not enough meat and cheese on the Maurice, and came with 3 tiny pickles and an egg. Meat and cheese seemed like lunch meat from Kroger. I had to ask for more pickles just to fill the lettuce up a bit, I was given 3 more. I think I’ve had a better salad at a coney island. I enjoy coming here so much, beautiful and unique atmosphere. I recommend this place but not that salad. The beer cheese pretzels were good, cheese not the greatest and tasted off. I would not get them again. My mother had the chicken marsala special with asparagus and that looked and tasted good. Seemed like the food was just okay overall. I will come back for sure though eventually & I hope everyone has a pleasant experience.

First time there since ownership change. Went on a Saturday about 6 p.m. Seated immediately. Variety in a small menu. Decent wine list. Full service bar. Server was attentive. Empty plates cleared quickly..
