I have enjoyed dining at the Whistling Grizzly before and it’s amazing! We were greeted by Kimi, who was very attentive. Jean Paul was our server and he was outstanding!!!! Tilly was also serving and was very kind during our brief interactions. Now on to the food, I couldn’t believe the size of this jumbo shrimp and the sauce was divine! Lastly, order the 32 oz bison tomahawk if it’s available as an off menu item! If you are brave, chew off the bone as there are a few tasty bits you just can’t miss. 10/10 would recommend whether it’s a romantic dinner, a family outing, or a business meal.

We were too tired to go out for dinner our first night, so we decided to eat in the hotel. Were we glad we did! I had the trout, and my husband had the grouper. Both were excellent and served with a gorgeous presentation. Then came dessert. The flourless chocolate torte was good, but it’s very dark chocolate so not as sweet as you may be expecting. The carrot cake was fabulous!!! I’ve never had carrot cake as good as this. Drew was our server and he was awesome. Made great recommendations and took great care of us.

This Whistling Grizzly is wonderful restaurant it serves great food with fantastic service. My wife and I visited Jackson, WY on the way to Yellowstone and had a delightful dinner here. Delicious elk steak tenderloins, smoked trout salad and blood orange crème brûlée for dessert.

Food never disappoints. Jean Paul is a very attentive and pleasant server who gives great recommendations on the menu. The Elk tartare appetizer, Alaskan Char dinner and the trout dinner have been my favorite dishes.

When we pulled up we were disappointed to see that the restaurant was in a hotel. We begrudgingly went in for our reservation. Wow! We were surprised with excellent service and deliciously unique entrees. My husband had the elk tenderloin, I the scallops, and my 11 year old the cowboy pops. They also had a kid friendly menu available for my 8 year old. Everything was delectable! I highly recommend. I almost forgot to mention the French fries . The best we’ve had since we lived in Germany!!

Jean Paul was an amazing server who answered all our questions with great detail. We had the elk and bison. The presentation was top tier along with the sauces that were served with each entree. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits town! Compliments to the kitchen and wait staff. 10/10!

My dad and I had the elk tenderloin with asparagus and potatoes. Some of the best food I’ve had. This was my first time having elk, but I was surprised with how tame it was compared to something like bison (which I love). Overall, the food was flavorful and delicious. I gave this a 4/5 stars just because the atmosphere is a little off in my opinion. With no real bar to sit at, and only about 11 dining tables, it just felt a little odd.

Amazing hidden gem. Restaurant is located inside the hotel. The small seating area probably is the reason why service is excellent. Reservations is highly recommended. The two servers were knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Food preparation has definitely a French influence. Everything we had was excellent. From presentation to preparation and serving dish, all outstanding. We had the caprese burrata salad for apetizer. The Rainbow Trout, which was pink in color and the pork loin. For dessert the flower less chocolate cake. To drink local draft Beer.
