Small and cozy old school diner and one of a few that is left of a historic NJ chain. Grab a seat at the counter, one of the café tables or order takeout. The friendly cook prepares the food efficiently and with care. Portion sizes and prices are reasonable and there is plenty of parking in their shared lot. Payment is Cash Only.

I honestly was a fan of this restaurant from young until my father passed and I haven’t visited so much recent but I do remember the patty melt coming WITH ketchup and Mayo, and the one I ordered tonight had neither. I called the restaurant and they told me to come back so they could put it on my sandwich as if I’m not miles away smh. They want to charge a price but not offer customer service that’s equal. it’s terrible unfortunately. If you’re out late night and find yourself in the Plainfield are just go to McDonald’s and thank me later !!
