I find that great sandwich shops are few and far between; this one is amazingly awesome every time. Ingredients are fresh, crisp, and robust. Service is polite and the atmosphere is quaint and clean. I wouldn’t mind if they were open an hour later each day; then I could pair a drop-in sandwich stop seamlessly with my routine trips to Namaste across the street. As it is though Winkin Rooster comes highly recommended and my first choice for a deli sandwich.

The best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had. A fantastic staff who are excited about you coming in to their establishment and giving you great service. I can’t say enough good things about the Winking Rooster to do them justice. I’m just glad I get the privilege of visiting this great restaurant.

Holy smokes, this place is AMAZING! I just had the best sandwich I think I’ve ever had. Order the Cubano, it’s fantastic. And where else are you going to get a cubano? I love the vibe here, too. Their pork is from a local shop and so is their soda. I had the “Special” soda on Doug’s recommendation and it was just like a bomb pop popsicle, how he put it, but even better. I have a new favorite go-to place! Thanks for the delicious grub! Not sure where to get tonight’s dinner? Go here!

Doug is the coolest dude of all time. And his his sandwiches are maybe the best I have ever had. My girlfriend once said, if you keep spending all your money at the Winkin’ Rooster, I will kick you to the curb.” needless to say I broke up with her and kept eating at the Winkin’ Rooster. No regrets.
