First time trying this place. Kimchi fried rice with chicken is incredibly bland. The only flavor I get from it is maybe pond water. The chicken pieces are huge, and mostly inedible, due to being dry and rubbery (I’m not sure what I was biting into). The rice is incredibly greasy and somehow still flavorless. The steamed pot stickers were fine. Crab rangoon was tiny. The chicken and vegetable stir fry was slimy. $52 going in the trash.

Been about two years since the last time I ate here, got it tonight and it is still the best Chinese food I have ever had. And the amazing employee that suggested the crab Rangoon’s was spot on they were delicious wish I bought more. And I walked in close to closing and ordered 3 different meals and they got it complete in about 7 minutes and were so nice.!! Highly recommend amazing staff and food

Great place for Chinese/American food. Some of the very best Cashew Chicken available, but still not as loaded with cashews and green onions as in the original recipes. Not a place for date night atmosphere, but clean and neat. They do a very brisk carry-out and Grubhub business.

So I can’t even count how many oriental places I’ve ate at over the past 40 plus years but the The Wok on Scenic Republic Road establishment tossed me for a loop. The Pork stir fry Szechuan I ordered came with perfectly cut identical squares of pork sliced about 3 or 4 on a meat slicer. Not your typical oriental diced up meat one would find normally. The meat was hard as leather and extremally dry which was too bad because the sauce was on point. The vegetables cooked well under that soft but still lightly crunchy texture one would expect to have was a let down as well. They were near virtually raw. The fried rice had no peas, carrots, garlic or visible eggs. Rangoons were a third of the size of what one sees at other places around Springfield and the price point for an egg roll is way high for the portion served. We dined in and ordered water which was as expected but didn’t have any service past that to get refills. Time of day was a 6:45 pm and the business was slow (one other table aside us) and the non food warming take out shelves for delivery and curbside were virtually empty. The décor was appealing and the establishment appeared pretty clean. Sorry, but our total meal was around $40 and was worth far far less than what we paid. We left no tip. Took 95% of our meal home in to go boxes to try and salvage in the Instapot or our own Wok.

I read on Springfield food group that they made good egg foo young. Really loving egg foo young I had to try it out and since you cannot get it at most Chinese restaurants in Springfield I was not disappointed. Very tasty crispy fluffy if you like egg foo young you have to try this place out. Also I tried the Hunan shrimp and with a side order of hot and spicy sauce which was excellent very spicy. My wife had moo goo gai pan and said it was quite tasty also. Well we had dinner inside I did notice that the big part of their business was take out many many paper bags went out the door as we set and had dinner. I will be back for the egg foo young.

Delicious! It is attached to a gas station, but totally separate so don’t let that stop you. Honestly, the food was AWESOME. It’s a small place but don’t overlook it. Our family had Sesame, Coconut, General Tso, and Sweet and Sour chicken meals with fried rice and crab Rangoon – each thing was super yummy- and we all had to leave with leftovers.

The ladies are wonderful here. I’m soooo bad with names but the blond girl has always looked out for me and my son, with the best choices, and utmost respect and quality care. Thank you check this place out if your looking for a great Chinese restaurant takeout or dine in. Don’t forget to tip!! Thank you my friends!

I used to love this place and I would get the general tsos chicken several times a week. I don’t know if they were bought by a new owner when it became “the wok” but the change was for the worst. First off if a drive through had the nerve to ask for a tip everytime I order and pick up my own food I would stop going there so I’m not sure why they have the nerve to ask when you order. Second the food has just gone down hill. It was the best general tso chicken in town but now, particularly if I get it in the evening, it tastes like burnt oil. It was inedible. And after the hit or miss of getting good food or burnt rubber the last time made me the sickest I’ve been from food poisoning and we haven’t been back. It’s a shame our favorite Chinese went from absolutely wonderful to horrible in a short span. But there are several other Chinese resteraunts that actually clean their woks we enjoy. Oh but how much do you want to leave a tip for today?

If you like Kung Pao Chicken, Lo mein plain or Chicken it is very good along with the Crab Rangoone. My personal favorite is their General Chicken with extra sauce and fried rice. I like everything on their menu with the exception of the Burbon Chicken. I personally don’t like that menu item. Friendly people and great Springfield Chinese cuisine
