Was in Denver for a wedding and decided early on we wanted to try this place based on reviews. It was absolutely amazing, service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We opted into the cocktail pairing at the last minute because we had never done anything like that before and it was absolutely worth it. Some highlights of our meal were the cocktail paired with the tomato 3 ways dish (So weird and savory and sweet and good). We also loved the trout custard dish, lamb lettuce wraps, and the dessert & dessert cocktail. It is truly a shame there is no Michelin guide for Denver!!

Let me start by saying that we frequently go to restaurants that are considered expensive so their prices didn’t discourage us from making a reservation. However, for a dinner for two when only one of us was drinking, we spent $500. That’s more than we spent at a Michelin star restaurant and we can barely remember what we ate! The dishes weren’t innovative, didn’t stand out in any way and at this price point food needs to be spectacular. We found this restaurant to be overpriced and not worth returning.

We had an absolutely magical evening in the garden enjoying a tasting menu at the Wolf’s Tailor. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate and the food was intriguing, surprising, and most importantly absolutely delicious. This was an upscale experience, and worth the higher price point. Wow definitely the best meal I’ve had in the Denver area. We were blown away by the creative presentation and flavors. Everything locally sourced and each course was liking eating (and drinking) a work of art. We were literally surrounded by the garden they used to make the food. Wish it wasn’t so expensive but worth it.

Sometimes the story is a distraction to a nice meal. Not at The Wolf’s Tailor. Here, the story, presentation and service add a rich meaning and joy to the experience. The combination of deep flavors, local ingredients and in-house preparations makes for a delicious meal. We dined in a private tent and it was near perfect all around.

We had no idea when we reserved a tent for dinner – that this was the way to go! The most romantic experience we have ever had! Cozy, intimate, and warm. The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious and unique. We chose the six course meal with wine pairings. Each course delighted us with both its flavor and artistic presentation. The ‘secret ingredient ‘ for the night was buckwheat – which they craftily tied in to each course. Bento box, venison, fish, duck liver, and even dessert. The wines represented Japan, France, Hungary & Germany. Very impressed! Best special occasion ever. Cudos to the chef and their team – thank you for an awesome night.

This restaurant is overrated at 4+ stars. The experience is nice and the food is generally good but for $600 for two (tasting menu and wine pairing), I should have my socks blown off. This place doesn’t do that. The best thing I ate was the piece of bread in the picture. No sarcasm, it was a pretty amazing piece of bread. The worst thing I had was what was introduced as a Korean-style lamb ssam that tasted nothing like anything Korean I’ve ever had but did taste like bad barbecue. It was plated with an inelegantly chopped mushroom “XO” duxelle that was so overpowering that it was inedible. Not good.
