Customer service was great!!! Ordered chicken and brisket. The chicken wings were awesome…smoked then fried…crispy and juicy…brisket is juicy and full of flavor. I tried the ribs from a friends plate and those are meaty, juicy and full of smoke flavor. Portions are big.

First time here, Ordered a brisket sandwich and was literally given a few tiny bits of sliced brisket next to 2 soggy pieces of plain white bread. Not even assembled as a sandwich, just loose on my plate. No condiments, no fix-ins, nothing.

I’ve been going here for at least four or five years, and it never disappoints. I usually get the brisket, and it is always very moist and tender. The BBQ sauce is out of this world. Very flavorful, and if you like hot, they will give you hot. The family is probably some of the nicest people that I have met. Very friendly and very nice people. I am also a big fan of the mac and cheese with the BBQ sauce on it. Walk in the door and you will know why I want to make the smell inside of this place an air freshener for my car, and for my home. Well worth the trip.

It was okay. The chopped barbecue needed a little more seasoning. The ribs were nice and tender, however, they were a little burnt. The mac and cheese was very well prepared. The greens were seasoned well. The cornbread was tasty, a little brown under the bottom. Overall, I would eat here again, just wouldn’t be my first choice.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. This place is great. I had the 2 meat sampler. It was $18.95 and I got 5 ribs and a big pile of pulled pork. I had BBQ beans which were done very nicely and a good portion and collard greens which were tangy and with a little heat from the pepper. The plate came with a HUMUNGOUS piece of delicious cornbread. The piece was 4-5″ wide, 4-5″ long and close to 2″ thick. It was also fresh and delicious. The staff was helpful, friendly and terrific. My family will be going back whenever the need for BBQ strikes us.

The best BBQ I’ve had on the east coast! Ribs were delicious and the wings are HUGE. Brisket and collared greens were very good as well. The only gripe with the place is they have very few seats to eat inside and the tables are very close together. Highly recommended if you love BBQ!

The pork ribs are incredible and the portions are huge. The super hot BBQ sauce is hot but in the right sort way – not the look what i can do, melt your face off sort of hot that some insist on producing. But don’t get me wrong it WILL make your nose run a little. The woman working the counter was super friendly, and a gentleman that I assume to be the owner [due to newspaper clipping on the wall] even came out front to “see how I was doing with my ribs and brisket”. I loved this place. How an authentic southern rib joint wound up in Northern New Jersey I don’t know but next time I am thru i’ll will certainly be stopping for pork ribs and super hot BBQ!
