Grandson and granddaughter came to breakfast with me after my Dr’s. appointment. They had a pancake that resembles Mickey mouse, scramble egg, and bacon. As for me l had two eggs over medium smoked sausage and hashbrown. The food was adequate as was the service. There is plenty of parking available as well as wheelchair accessible entrance and parking.

Lunch: Love this place for breakfast. Today I came during the noon lunch period and ordered the 8 oz burger and fries medium, hold the pickle and slaw, add cheddar cheese. Unfortunately I had to send it back because there was also lettuce and tomato on it (the menu did not mention the lettuce and tomato). I tried not to be too picky, but as I explained to my server I just don’t like tomatos or buns with tomato juice on them. 2nd try was closer. New cheese burger albeit closer to well done than medium, and the fries were barely warm. My server was very nice.

Cassandra made our first visit to this very charming Cafe a delightful and delicious experience. Everyone was ready to fill up your coffee or just give you a smile. Excellent teamwork, place is clean and I am sure happy about wolfing down my favorite Reuban sandwich. Made our day special as I learned I had a huge brain tumor that is doomed to send me to the great beyond within 6 months. So I will be sure to stop by again and bring you my gift. We were advised that the air conditioner was not working when we were seated, but we chose to stay. It was miserably hot. Our food was served in spurts, not all together. My Reuben was very tough & I couldn’t even taste the sauerkraut. I did not finish it. Some of the offerings on the menu were not available. The fried okra side was really good, though. And our drinks had free refills & a free fill-up to go. I don’t know if this was normal policy or if they were trying to keep us happy due to circumstances. Our server was doing the best she could. It was just a bad day for everybody.

My sister and I went here as an unexpected girls brunch because we didn’t have our children for a couple hours and wanted to take advantage of no little hands pawing at our food as we tried to eat the first thing in prob a day each due to us being so busy and just Making sure life is running as smooth as possible in our day to day lives. Let me start off to say everything about the wooden spoon diner is absolutely fantastic. To the people that work here, to the food and also to the mimosas because hello cheers . If you want delicious food and an amazing atmosphere that feels like you are at home while life is going amazingly well and you wonder to yourself , “just one more mimosas and one more bite never hurt anyone” those moments of pure bliss I would suggest you go here. kassandra (and I do apologize if I spelled that incorrectly) was our waitress and she made us feel as if we were on a mini vacation and all her suggestions for food were phenomenal. So kudos to the Wooden spoon diner for making me write my very first (and only) review in my 30 years of living. We will be back and will be telling everyone we know what an amazing hidden gem this place is.
