A friend and I stopped here on the drive from SLC to Jackson. It was interesting to see a piece of Idaho’s history and enjoy the great decor. At 4 pm on a Tuesday, we were pretty much the only ones there. They have happy hour 3-6 on weekdays, $2 off select drinks (normally $7-12). We had the Yellowstone burger and turkey burger (about $15 each) and both were solid, especially the truffle fries. We were glad to be able to support a local business during our stop in Pocatello!

Oh my the interior and the ambience of the Yellowstone is lovely! It is beautifully decorated in the inside and you certainly don’t feel like you’re in a typical downtown Pocatello restaurant. I would have loved to have given it five stars but sadly my meal at brunch was not as good as my husband’s. The vegetables in my vegetarian omelette hadn’t be completely cooked and it hadn’t been seasoned well. His Juevos Yellowstone was fantastic though and would be worth ordering again. The coffee was sadly pretty awful and it would have been nice to have gotten a drinks menu as I saw other patrons drinking alcoholic beverages. I am hoping that my omelette was just a fluke and will probably try it again some time. I think it’s worth you giving it a try too, purely for something fun and different in the area.

If you are interested in how old things become new again, then you have to visit this place!! If not for the food or drinks, just please take a look around!! You will be in awe, I promise! The building is magnificent and they did little to destroy the old hotel architecture when they put in the modern restaurant. You will find many treats like original wallpaper, molding, Chandler’s, and so on. The staff is aware of the historic grandeur this building holds, so don’t be shy to tell them you just want to walk around to look.

The Yellowstone was an incredible experience from every aspect. The owners and staff were friendly and happy which is not so easy to find anymore! All 6 in our party cleaned off every plate, we could not stop raving about how delicious EVERYTHING was! The building is beautiful and very clean inside with cool history and different areas for entertaining. The only complaint I have is that it isn’t closer to Salt Lake, where I live. I’ll be back next time I’m in town!

We ate here tonight and were incredibly disappointed. The adult Mac and cheese was noodles with melted cheddar cheese on top. I’m pretty sure it was from a bag. The basil chicken was most likely microwaved. I thought it had melted provolone cheese on top of the chicken due to the texture and white color and then it turned out to be thr skin. The broccoli that came with it was boiled with no seasoning.

Service was excellent. The food was great for each of us in a party of four. The New York Strip was thicker than the Ribeye so it was grilled better in medium rare. The Steelhead Trout was very good and tasted like a large piece of fresh salmon.

Amazing dining room, the ambience is awesome. Very quiet inside with low-volume jazz in the background. We had the pork belly street tacos, a side of fire roasted street corn (server suggestion), and the Yellowstone burger with cheese and bacon with a side of the truffle French fries. All in all, the food was flavorful and the experience was great. All of the staff were kind and helpful. We’re excited to go back to try the Lobster Mac & Cheese and a Ribeye!
